For the limited amount of money Iāve spent (easily under $500), Iām really happy with the sound Iām getting after the Forscan updates. I think anyone considering making changes should commit and do it. Itās just such a better experience listening to music in the Bronco now.
edit: Got to...
For awhile i was getting really confused thinking i had to make a bunch of forscan changes, but thatās not the case from what i can tell.
Thanks for verifying this thought process.
Thatās my understanding. If I changed the pods in the rear to larger speakers, then thereās other changes to make. But since I kept them 4ā thereās nothing to change with them.
Itās just the sub activation.
All speakers in (4ā infinity front and back) and kicker sub/fusion amp are also in. Forscan update is next and from what i can tell my only forscan change is simply telling the ACM thereās a sub. Looks like 1 change in forscan and Iām done.
Am i missing something?
1st post on this wonderful thread.
I did the Fusion amp/Kicker sub upgrade. Then replaced all 4ā speakers with Infinity. Getting the forscan changes done in the next few days. Canāt wait!
edit: i added the JTops USA bimini top a few months ago. I forgot about that. Itās nice!
Something Iāve tried visualizing and thinking Iād really like, but it just doesnāt look right. 6th Gen. Is itās own animal. A nice tip of the cap for Ford to pay homage to 1st Gen., but nothing new will compete with that look.
First time doing this. I had the removal tools as well. 2dr, the whole side panel comes off and you have to deal with the passenger side front seat belt a bit. You have to remove the sill plate for the passenger door to get it all the way off. They do come off, unfortunately, they are a bit...
No kidding! Wow, congrats. I thought the Granger party was winding down and almost done. Shut the lights off on your way out! When do you get to pickup? Enjoy your Bronco!
i missed this little alignment pin. My Bronco is still apart waiting to see if the blue clip can be replaced. Worth my time to check and shave that down? Ford parts department couldn't find the one I was holding in my hand in their system. Guy had not so nice things to say about Ford...
Need to get my Bronco back together today, then find some forscan help in Chicago area. Not sure a one time forscan usage is worth buying everything to do it myself. Time to ask a forum member for help.
Thank you! I figured thatās what it was, but before putting everything back together i wanted some confirmation. Waiting until morning to put it back together and running to Ford service to get a blue clip I broke.
2dr? If so, how much of a pain in the 𤬠was your side panel to get off? I broke one clip and ripped a piece off near the 12v/light assembly.
Currently crossing my fingers that jb weld will save me on this piece. š¤
Kicker didnāt come with very much information. Iām assuming black is negative and red is positive on the sub. Correct? Doing this now on my 2dr and do not want to take the interior piece off ever again after this. Pain in the š¤¬! š
thank you. i'll be sure to keep an eye on each detail from the fusion amp/kicker sub addition threads. Good info in here and elsewhere. Thanks for that pic!
