Kind of sad if we have to put seat covers on a brand new car! I can just see the conversation at the trail head:
Jeep Owner - "Is that the new Bronco?"
Me - "Yes!"
Jeep Owner - "Are those seat covers on there to protect your nice interior you paid $70K for?"
Me - "No, it is to hide this..."
Lift...
Right now the Badlands is my back-up. August the builder will launch and I will be able to cost one vs. the other. As much as I like the idea of a limited edition, I really choose the FE because it came with all the things I probably would add anyway. I want to love this Bronco, so if I don't...
Good question, but for me, not that worried. This is for use on my property and on adventures. I can tolerate a lot to get it from here to there. My FX4 has aggressive tires and I can hear them, but it is tolerable.
This is a major change and not what we were led to believe at time of reservation. It also puts the DEALER in the position to take advantage of the buyer. NOT FAIR. If you have a First Edition, would you lose that car by canceling the reservation?!? BAD BAD BAD!
Really easy to do, especially now they have an economy of scale with doubling the amount. And inexpensive as well. Things that might be EASY and cool (One or all):
The wheel fenders are easily interchangeable and pretty basic. Mold up something with a bit more style. Lots of talk that Ford will...
Again, what some see as griping, I see as influencing. Ford reads these forums and the time is now, not on delivery, to ask for what we want. :)
If you are happy with "Navy Pier" and having what is in a Ford Truck and in the Bronco Sport, GREAT! I would like to have an option for something...
I am not sure which of us is planning on doing the Baja 500 or Rally car racing, but for my use I am more interested in control. If I want to go fast in a straight line, I’ll drive the M550! I am happy with the V6 and have been very happy with a EcoBoost in my F150.
LOL. This is not a GT and there is a BIG difference between 1500 and 7000. This is a variant, so not a completely unique vehicle. And what you say is "bitching" is in many people's minds "influencing." You realize that Ford does read these forums, right? You also realize that one person saying...
Yes. That is true TODAY. When I first spoke to the dealership, they said I WOULD NOT be able to downgrade a FE to another model and that I needed a second reservation. Now that Ford has said clearly today that they WILL allow FE reservations to downgrade, I have canceled the second reservation...
First, the real point is that the "Navy Pier" is in no way unique and is a retread from other vehicles. The Bronco is suppose to be its own car line. Why is it getting the Ford Truck Interior? And ask yourself, if you saw a Bronco sitting in a parking lot with the "Navy Pier" interior, would you...
Well. Chalk my professionalism up to the military. Can't tell you how many times I used the word "respectfully" and "for your consideration and action" in my 25 years when I really meant "Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot".
In my case no. I do not recall there being a discussion on "Navy Pier" only until AFTER the launch. Might be my bad, but from what I see on the message boards, there are a lot of people like me.
Here is the email I just sent:
Dear Mr. Hackett,
First, let me congratulate you on a very successful Bronco launch. This will make my fifth Ford and I can not tell you how excited I am to bring this vehicle home. I reserved my Bronco First Edition within the first hour of reservations opening...
I already knew I wasn't the only one since the thread so other MD residents, but I agree that I don't want to see them all over. Part of the fun is to get something unique and that I won't see parked next to me except at a Bronco event!!!! But I am with you! The interior is the real...
If I learned one thing from the military, it was GET IT IN WRITING. Otherwise, it is just a rumor. So, hope that the "insider" is right, but you would think that Ford could just say "We will offer "X" number of interior options on the Bronco FE". If not for me, do it for my wife! She is tired...
