  1. 37” tire rubbing modifications

I thought I’d start this thread to share our suspension/tire/wheel combinations, and the issues and modifications you’ve done to resolve rubbing when fully locked and flexed out with 37s. Extra points for photos of the mods you did , as well as your flexed rig photos. If you have 37s with no...
  2. Who put 37s on their Sasquatch no lift?

For others - i doubt this won’t rub the front crash bar mounts at lock and flexed with 37s and 0 offset. I will say those tires ( which I’ve never heard of) may not be true measured 37s, like BFGs aren’t.
  3. Angel on my shoulder... Les Schwab (Fabtech 3") Lift Fail!!

Metal on metal will eventually grenade. IMO Incorrect UCA for your shock length, and bad UCA joint design.
  4. Angel on my shoulder... Les Schwab (Fabtech 3") Lift Fail!!

I suspect you’ll explode that heim joint soon.
  5. Angel on my shoulder... Les Schwab (Fabtech 3") Lift Fail!!

That’s exactly why it’s touching, with a spacer you have lowed the entire full stroke by 2” In the mounts, and in so doing have Increased the CV and tie rod angles. Smashing the UCA to the spring is worse than losing droop with a perch, which doesn’t increase suspension CV and T/R angle. I...
  6. 37’s and lift needed?

Ahh gotcha 👍🏼 …. Well a slight trim isn’t just probably needed, it’s definitely needed. I don’t see how any truck with true 37s doesn’t need the crash bar mount cut down…. with a 3” or less lift. And I personally would never do anything more than a 3” front lift without a dif drop or done as a...
  7. 37’s and lift needed?

Exactly - just put 37” Nitto Trail Grapplers with 0 offset wheels, and Fox Coilovers (3” front / 1.5” rear) on our First Edition, and we will need to cut the forward crash bar mount, cut the slider ends, and trim the plastic rear wheel well liner. I don’t see how anyone with true 37s (BFGs are...
  8. 37’s and lift needed?

    Why don’t do that ?
  9. Angel on my shoulder... Les Schwab (Fabtech 3") Lift Fail!!

    Mistake #1 - Fabtech Mistake #2 - letting a tire shop install a lift.
  10. 37s and Lift needed for No rub

Kindof cracks me up when folks say their 37s they just put on don't rub .... seems the context should be defined by "don't rub going to the mall" or what actually matters which is rubbing at full flex. Obviously every combination of tire choice, wheel offset, and suspension will all effect...

With an attorney that knows about Laser they can show how under many conditions the speed readings are unreliable.

  14. Clean Radar Detector Install DIY

LOL this statement is so NOT true. Do your homework. A good radar detector can detect active radar up to 5 miles away, but the cop needs to be pretty close to you. And fyi they can pick you out of a crowd, and they are very good at hiding lol. Get an Escort directional Max 360 and you’ll even...
  15. JCR Shock Skids

Nope … just pointing it out for others. They knew about the suspension I’m running, which has nothing to do with the issue, so it is a potential issue for anyone. (my trailing arm is just slightly wider than stock, so yes I’ll admit the skid it’s closer ) I didn’t add my suspension specs to...
  16. JCR Shock Skids

Well Mr post police , take a look at my reply to JCR. The Camburg trailing arms and Fox coilovers have nothing to do with the angle of the skid hard mounted to the shock mount. And fyi there was nothing “conveniently left out “ or omitted in my conversations with Mitchell at JCR. They know the...
  17. JCR Shock Skids

Thanks for replying. Yes I’m running Camburg trailing arms and Fox Coilovers. Neither have anything to do with the angle of the skid plate … but yes the very slightly wider Camburg trailing arm is closer to the skid than the stock trailing arm. All of this was discussed with Mitchell. As you...
  18. JCR Shock Skids

It’s not the trackbar. The skid doesn’t align at all vertically with the spring. Look a No I meant at droop flexed
  19. JCR Shock Skids

Its on a two post car lift 5’ off the ground
  20. JCR Shock Skids

It will rub against the trailing arm at full droop. Not just esthetics.
