  1. What are your remaining questions?

Show me four people, all over 6 feet tall, get into the 4-door at the same time. Show me the legroom for each.
  2. More Off-Roadeo Locations announced: Moab, Vermont, Nevada (in addition to Austin)

If you go to VT, for the love of all that’s holy, drive north on 81, not 95. It’s a much better ride.
  3. More Off-Roadeo Locations announced: Moab, Vermont, Nevada (in addition to Austin)

Vermont is a wonderful place. It’s really odd compared to other rural areas in the northeast. There is a distinct lack of chain restaurants, in my experience. They still have old school small town feel. Contrast that to the whistle stop exits along 80 in Pennsylvania, or 90 in NYS. In rural PA...
  4. More Off-Roadeo Locations announced: Moab, Vermont, Nevada (in addition to Austin)

I’m sure that MY22 people will be grandfathered into Roadeo school. Ford is not going to burn us early adopters. They need this launch to go as well as it can, and great Word Of Mouth when it’s done. They’re not selling cars in the USA any more. It’s all about the trucks and SUVs. Cutting...
  5. More Off-Roadeo Locations announced: Moab, Vermont, Nevada (in addition to Austin)

Chicago - maybe Vermont Is your best bet? When we get back to normal life, you can cut through southern Ontario to Buffalo and onward to Albany. It might shave some drive time for you? Or just cannonball it from Chicago to Buffalo. Spend the night. Get wings and beers. It’s a good town. Finish...
  6. More Off-Roadeo Locations announced: Moab, Vermont, Nevada (in addition to Austin)

So true. I’d rather drive 400 miles inward from the coast than 200 miles along it. For the long haul N-S travel in the east, it’s worth it to go over to 81, from Harrisburg PA all the way to Charlotte NC. Then you cut back through SC to 95. Ideally you can nope out again to go diagonal across...
  7. More Off-Roadeo Locations announced: Moab, Vermont, Nevada (in addition to Austin)

That’s a big bonus .... Translation: you don’t damage your own while you learn what the heck you’re doing!
  8. Someone explain keyless entry pads to me

Gas door - sounds like a bad idea if there’s any possibility at all of generating a spark. Bronco go BOOM?
  9. Race Red Wildtrak Sasquatch, Soft Top + keypad

Don’t knock the entry keypad. My beeper stopped working years ago, and my wife recently broke hers. That entry keypad is a great thing to still have on our door, because otherwise we’re using metal sticks with teeth. in fact, I’m thrilled to see that there is apparently still a real key for the...
  10. POLL: what powertrain are you choosing at order time?

Wow, I never realized that other builds were getting screwed on the choice between 2.3 to 2.7, and manual vs automatic in Badlands (and Black Diamond, if I remember correctly) you can upgrade to both 2.7 and auto for a net increase of only $300 more compared to adding the auto to 2.3. so...
  11. POLL: what powertrain are you choosing at order time?

I had to go check this out for myself and holy crap - you’re right! What the hell? On Badlands it’s only like $300 extra, when used together with the automatic transmission.
  12. POLL: what powertrain are you choosing at order time?

The upgrade cost from 2.3 to 2.7 is a no brainer -provided that you were already going to have an automatic transmission. I can’t really see any reason to go with the 2.3 unless you’re a manual transmission fanatic. The higher gas mileage might be worth it in the very long run, if you’re...
  13. POLL: what powertrain are you choosing at order time?

If you already know that you’re an automatic transmission person then the upgrade from 2.3 to 2.7 is only about $300. That there is an easy decision.
  14. POLL: what powertrain are you choosing at order time?

What is hubby doing to damage an auto transmission? Revving it in neutral and then slamming into gear to screech the tires? Jam it from reverse to forward without first coming to a complete stop?
  15. POLL: what powertrain are you choosing at order time?

My build is 2.7 liter, 10 speed automatic. Likely a Badlands, which gives me free upgrade to the 4.7 gear ratio I absolutely want the bigger engine with more torque and HP. While I don’t drive fast, I do need some real giddy-up where I live. There are entrance ramps where you must go from full...
  16. POLL: what powertrain are you choosing at order time?

it would be very silly unless you never ever intend to sell it the next person won’t want to pay for the luxe when they see the stick shift the luxe purchaser is absolutely going to want the 2.7-10spd auto
  17. Why all the hate on the OBX?

My personal take - because it will be expensive without being hardened. A well appointed OBX will cost nearly as much as a Badlands, but without any of the ruggedness. Plastic bumpers, city wheels, no armor underneath, they’re even trying to stick you with cloth and charging a big premium for...
  18. Ford colors currently offered...why not the Bronco

I’m in Canada right now. There are some more colorful options on the streets here compared to the NE USA. Be careful what you wish for. Some of these colors are questionable.
  19. Add 35s later to a Badlands non-Squatch

Apologies if this has been answered ... I’ve seen people say that a Badlands includes basically everything in a Squatch package except for the big ass mud tires. Instead, BL non-Sas gets 33 all terrains. Let’s say I get a Badlands non-Sas now. A few years down the road, now it’s no longer new...
  20. ?Big Bend, WildTrak & Badlands Photos

The NSA, CIA and FBI wish they had intelligence agents as awesome as you, Lady Bronco. Three cheers for Lady Bronco! HUZZAH!
