Thanks! Yeah the finish is a nice satin powder coat. I ordered direct through @DV8offroad which is what I recommend. Their support is awesome and any issues you have they will help you out.
Yeah you need to cut them off and paint the ends so they don’t rust. You could also buy the plates that don’t have the hooks at the end but hey cost like 65$ each from ford so much cheaper to cut and paint.
Hi mdk77, The biggest issue was the wiring harness for the sensors. If you don't have the parking sensors it's pretty easy. If you do then be prepared to splice and dice because you can't just pull back the electric tape so it reaches this bumper. I had the basic plastic bumper so maybe it's...
@DV8offroad, Just want to say I'm loving this rear bumper. And thank you for the outstanding customer service. Martha & Missy are awesome and I really appreciated their responsiveness to the few minor issues I had. I'll be installing the competition series front bumper and skid plate next...
I like the way you think. I went with the DV8 Competition Series front and rear bumper minus the tire carrier which are also tubular and tight to the body. I have the 4.27 gears.
I have an OBX Non-Sas. I went with Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/70/r18 (33.98x11.5) on the stock 7.5x18 wheels. They fit perfect and rides extremely smooth on the highway. No rubbing and plenty of clearance, crash bars are still installed.
* No Lift or level
* Wheels and tires do not void...
Looks awesome! Just ordered the same bumper. How did you wire up those pod lights? I'm coming from an Outer Banks with fog lights on the basic plastic bumper. I don't have Aux switches so I guess I'll have to use their separate switch for the light bar but trying to figure out if I can...
@DV8offroad I just finished ordering your entire setup. Front & Back Bumpers with light kits, Pinch weld covers and Crash Bar covers. Very excited to start the install. Will post pics once complete.
Looks awesome! I was thinking of removing my side steps but since I added the fender deletes I think they keep a lot of extra splash off the sides so I'm going to keep them for now. If I go the way of larger wheels\tires I'll probably put my flares back on and remove the side steps.
