I'm hoping the gauge cluster from a Ranger will swap in - nice, simple, basic, clear, easy to read analog gauges.
Ranger is based on the same platform as the Bronco, and even built on the same assembly line, if the gauge cluster fits the dash it stands a good chance of working, even if a little...
Every time one of these "Ford is cracking down on....." threads come up, I just roll my eyes.
Ford isn't doing shit. They never will. Dealers will keep doing whatever they can for more profit, that's all they care about. Anytime something happens that curtails one particular avenue of profit...
Too fucking long.
I gave up on waiting for Ford to pull it's head out of it's ass, did my own research, lots of searching online - finally found one configured like I wanted at a dealer, got there before they opened the next day, laid down the cash, drove it home.
When Ford finally gets around...
Like so many others, I reserved Day One, ordered Day One, still nothing from Ford - no VIN, no build sheet, no scheduled build date, no nothing. I got fed up with waiting for Ford to pull their head out of their ass and build MY Bronco, so I went out and bought one. Searched for months online to...
V8. Manual trans.
Let me order whatever color I want regardless of model.
Let me pick and choose options rather than being forced to pay through the nose for "packages".
Offer soft top on 2 doors. Why the hell isn't this available already?
Real tailgate, not a back door.
Pickup. NOT a 4...
Why are dealer orders getting built before customer Day 1 (2,3,4, whatever) reservations/orders?
Why are NEW 2022 orders getting built before customer Day 1 (2,3,4,, whatever) reservations/orders?
Why are Everglades/Raptor/whatever new models getting built before customer Day 1(2,3,4...
Considering the cost of a high tech, twin-turbocharged V6, we should be able to select a basic old school V8 as a no cost option.
Yes, the V6 puts out plenty of power. That’s not the point.
The New Bronco is retro vehicle, drawing upon the legacy of original, classic Broncos of 50 years ago...
Your Bronco's embarassed to be seen in public with those tiny space saver wheels and tires. Get some 35x12.50's on it and it'll be happy.
Just kidding (sorta) - the battery is probably mostly discharged from sitting for so long. Get out out on the road and put some miles on it on a long drive...
623 days.
July 20th, 2020 is when I received the email confirmation of my reservation from Ford. Not the dealer, from FORD. These idiots who keep bleating "we're the dealer's customers, not Fords" can go try and sell their BS somewhere else.
I actually placed my reservation and put down a...
Impressive. They've taken a modern, dual turbocharged, direct injected V6 in a 4x4 off-road icon and somehow managed to make it sound exactly like a crap ricer Honda from 30 years ago.
Pass.
Geez, Ford, either give us a nice, basic, analog gauge cluster like the Ranger, or the cool digital one from the Raptor.
The current Bronco gauge cluster looks like something from a cheap gaming console from 15 years ago.
Possible? Sure.
Easy? Practical? Probably not.
But, people have swapped all kinds of engines into all kinds of vehicles for a long time - some good (Ford V8's into AC Ace = Shelby Cobra, 351C's into De Thomaso Panteras, LS V8's into just about everything, etc) - some bad.
It's a forgone...
Ford said "Put in your reservation and your order right away,
we'll be sure to get your Bronco built without delay"
we haven’t heard a word from them a couple years' gone by
we’ve pleaded and we’ve waited but they've left us high and dry
oooo, No News
Along the way we've learned about bad tops...
