Installed FTC "raptor" grill last night; interesting and not sure it will stay long term. (See my post on it: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/best-raptor-grill-to-buy.79914/page-3#post-2085121 )
I do really like the color better on the truck (vs. the original metallic grey).
Well I bought the FTC unit and installed it last night on my '23 Badlands SAS High-Package (front camera with washer).
Overall removal of the stock piece and install of the new piece was easy enough (use the FTC YouTube video as instructions; the front camera wires (electrical and water cable)...
Installed mine (5 degree, 4-Door, no tread pate) yesterday. Bronco does have the gas tank skid (Badlands w/SAS).
Finish on the sliders out of the box was perfect - no blemishes. All hardware included as well. Finished product is spot-on. Two person job, with floor jack, made it (mostly)...
Installed a few minor odds and ends yesterday (I really like the TufSkinz guards in the door openings) as well as the RCI pinch weld covers and sliders. Not a perfect product in my specific application, but pretty damn close and what I expected based on my experience with them.
So ramping up on the mods now. Added the "next gen" rubber floor mats and trunk liner in place of my carpet mats and the Redline hood struts. Sitting on the counter is a combo iphone mount (67 Designs and Anarchy "block"), ToughSkinz for doors, RCI pinch seam covers, RCI sliders (somewhere...
I prefer the look of these myself - nice (y)
Can anyone comment on the ICON "Charcoal" color vs. the Method "Titanium" color? Very similar or darker? Very different?
Really like these (y)
Any thoughts/plans on connecting the two sides and offering the package with a "bar" connecting the two mounts (or the bar with the mounts integrated) so that additional small spots can be added between the two end points?
Hey there - Also in greater LA and picked up an A51, BadSAS just last month (ordered back in February from Tomball in Texas; picked it up and roadtrip'd home). Welcome!
2,000 miles on the BadSas now.
Going in today for window tint (30% ceramic all-around; nothing on windshield; driver/passenger doors will be lighter than rear doors and hatch due to existing privacy glass tint) and paint correction/ceramic.
Spent way too much on non-obvious mods the past week...
I would love to use him/these guys based on my former Toyota 4Runner experience and buying from them, but they have not responded to any email submitted through the website. And the website looks likes it's incomplete making me wonder how serious they are about this Ford business line they are...
Questions:
1. Front passenger corner of the hood near the "tire sight/limb riser tie-down point" undulates at speeds over 70mph. I checked under the hood and see nothing unusual. Driver-side front corner does not do this. Anyone have the same experience and/or thoughts?
2. Can someone confirm...
Signed, sealed, and delivered yesterday morning! (y) I've seen some negative comments/posts, but for this guy from Los Angeles, Tomball and Jorge have been rock solid with no issues since day #1 - much better than some of my local Porsche and my F-car dealer(s)!
600+ miles yesterday and today...
Sunday 5:30pm local time: Did just that!
Found her stashed around a corner in the delivery bay - first sighting!!! Tomorrow we close this out and start the drive homeward.
Saturday 9pm local time: Reporting in from IAH; so far so good. I am now in the same city as my Bronco; first time I have ever said that! :)
Tomorrow there just may be a "drive by" of the "closed on Sunday" dealer holding her hostage. ;)
Well, it's almost time. Work day today with an early flight out tomorrow morning, a Sunday of museum stuff, and a Monday AM retrieval.
Excited, with stress rising (my wife packing might kill normal men :ROFLMAO:)....
