  1. Ford 10R80 and 10R60 10 speed automatic transmissions, lots of bad press?

I have not had any issues with the 10R80 in my '19 Ford Ranger (22 months/21,000 miles). IMO, the 2.3L/10 speed has been the best powertrain combo I have owned.
  2. Video: Bronco Spring Mountain (Holding Yard) as of 3/20/22

Thanks for sharing. Mine is there somewhere! Still a long way to go but some progress. If I lived as close as you do, I would be there every day!
  3. Is my wife right that I'm nuts, or am I brilliant??? Please gut check me!!

I understand how you feel. I would go mow the lawn and wait for your WT. Although the wait has been difficult, there is something rewarding about waiting for your new Bronco that you special-ordered. As long as demand exceeds supply, prices will hold or maybe rise. But once Ford gets...
  4. Advice needed... Does modifying the BB decrease or increase the potential trade-in value?

I believe it would depend on the specific mods and the potential buyer. Some mods can detract from resale values, while others may increase the value. I don't believe that residual values or trade-in values increase because of lift for example. The Bronco will depreciate with or without mods.
  5. Thanks Yark Ford Toledo!

    Congratulations! Great looking Big Bend!
  6. Cheap hard plastic, YES PLEASE! Exposed screw heads, YES PLEASE.

Did you walk to work or bring your lunch?
  7. I am torn. Bronco vs. Daily Driving a Guzzler

I don't drive much anymore. I am retired and what little work I do is from home. My lifetime average mpg for my '19 Ranger is 20.9 (22 months/19,000 miles). I expect similar results with my Bronco. However, if I was commuting for a job, I might think differently.
  8. Today Kinda Sucks [LOCKED FOR POLITICS]

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I would never pull money out of an investment to pay for a depreciating asset. This is actually a good time to put more in the market. Maybe it's just me, but I don't consider a Bronco as an investment, except for potentially the MY21 First Editions...
  9. 🛠 1/17/2022 Build week group

My BB with the Mid package is built, not shipped. EDD changed from 2/13 to 5/14.
  10. crazy build times?

I understand your frustration. I'm still waiting on mine, but for a much shorter period of time than many on here. At least you are not demanding some sort of compensation for your inconvenience like 0% interest, free accessories or something else that many on here feel entitled to receiving...
  11. Tips to find a good service dealer.

I would only use Ford for service, especially since you have points to use. If friends and family cannot recommend a Ford dealer, check out on-line reviews.
  12. 🛠 1/17/2022 Build week group

No (I will add that to my post, thanks.)
  13. 🛠 1/17/2022 Build week group

I called Ford and was told my Bronco was built but is being held at MAP because of the chip shortage. Now I know why the Dirt Mountain mob was so frustrated! Ford was not able to provide a new estimated date but noted that the original estimated delivery date had not changed...
  14. Finally got my Bronco!

Congratulations on your retirement and your Bronco! Great color choice. I really like the 33s and the standard wheels.
  15. Bronco Delivered Saturday

    Congratulations! Good color choice :)
  16. Big Bend beats Black Diamond!

My original reservation was for a BL, primarily because I like the factory 33s and the grille. But once I started researching the other trims, the BB made the most sense for my needs and budget. This is a daily driver for me and likely my last vehicle. I'm not an off-roader, so the BB will be...
  17. 🛠 1/17/2022 Build week group

My Blend Date is today. When accessing Modules Tracking, do I just enter the VIN? Or is there a sign-in or download step? It looks like Modules populate shortly after the Blend Date. My Tear Tag = DGA.
  18. Did you finance or pay cash?

That's really interesting. I may invest in that. But, I'm still going to pay cash for my Bronco.
  19. Did you finance or pay cash?

Me too. I've retired twice now. I realize that there are better opportunities for my money, but if that was a concern, I wouldn't be buying a new vehicle at MSRP. I expect to get $39K for my Ranger, which is all equity, leaving about $3K difference.
