Great report! Glad you enjoyed your visit to my home state of Utah. I find one of these invaluable for road trips where cargo space is limited but you don't want a rooftop box: Very easy to throw on and take off when needed/not needed and very inexpensive too.

I ordered the same and used them yesterday to replace my pod speakers. Haven't done the dash yet. They fit perfectly. Maybe he sent you the wrong item? Or are you trying to use them for the kick panel speakers? Those require a different harness. (I'm not messing with my kick panel speakers.)

I also went with the Polks. The Kickers seem to be the default choice around here, but the Polks sounded better to me on Crutchfield's listening comparison feature, for whatever that's worth. The Polks were also less expensive and more readily-available than the Kickers.

Yeah, the gaps are super tight. I can’t get any of my trim removal tools in there. Tried the credit card approach with no success before turning my attention to the rear pods instead.
