1970s lowered family hauler vs. 2020s lifted family hauler.
The size difference is comical.
Looking forward to a camping trip coming up this weekend and hoping to get back in the dirt a little.
This is killing me. I really need to check this.
I have had the car for 2.5 months and have yet to drive in rain.
I'm about to just go run a hose down the windshield and see for myself.
I was under the impression (from reading here) that it would slow down on all speeds, bus is that not the...
Really depends on what you are looking for from a vehicle.
Do you need more space? If so, the 4 door would be the obvious choice.
Do you plan to off-road enough to the point where you would need a rear locker?
If not, then don't get it.
The only thing I prefer here is the 2.7, although I'm sure...
Oh don't get me wrong I would be perfectly happy with a 996. Wouldn't be my first choice, but a 996.1 with an Aero kit wouldn't be bad at all! Throw in a nice suspension, new wheels with some sticky tires, exhaust, half cage and I'd be set!
I've been on the fence about this. PPF can be quite expensive when done well.
I plan to keep this car for a very long time, and also plan to use it as intended.
I'm sure PPF has come a long way, but I remember the old 3M clear bra's on cars, over time, would just end up looking like shit as they...
Anyone have any shop recommendations for PPF applications?
On the fence as to whether or not this is something I want to do...but am definitely considering it.
Yes.
I'm considering this one for MY 4 door OBX

Ah yes I should have been more specific.
I was just wondering if it was all "exterior painted" areas.
Pretty much any paint that would normally come into contact with the elements.
AKA: branches, rocks, etc. hah.
Carbonized Gray was not my first choice either, but I have actually grown to like it quite a bit.
I know that does not answer your question, but thought I'd put it out there.
I'm considering doing a matte PPF so it will make it a matte gray.
And in the little research I've done, I'll agree...
I wouldn't even try to call Ford. I would get the new one from the dealer, replace it, take the old one back and just be like yeah this one is defective I want my money back lol.
Maybe I missed it, but are people suggesting turning off the courtesy wipe?
