so, while i was on my way down to the dealership to test drive it and start on paperwork, they called and said they sent it off to a glass shop to do the windshield repair already. they said they will have it back tomorrow and add the tint and detail it. PDI was done today already apparently...
guys it’s here!!🤗🤗🤗🤗🥹🥹🥹
salesperson just called and asked me if i could come in this evening and do all the paperwork!!! i asked if they fixed the windshield recall and he knew nothing about it, even though i told him about it last week. so now waiting to hear when they will get it done.
i was marked as built on 6/14, shipped on 6/21, arrived by rail this past saturday and is still sitting at the railyard. no clue how long it will sit at the railyard, and no clue how quickly they will be able to complete the windshield recall. agree the loan rates going up so much sucks! i just...
i think anyone who first entered their vin and started tracking the day he launched the website is at the 97 day mark. i was “in production” wayyy longer than what that site said because it didn’t start counting days until he launched the site, if that makes sense. that’s why us january blends...
yeah, i used my vin to register. on my desktop, i'd click it and nothing happened. on my phone, the captcha showed up right by the register button and on my desktop it did not. if the captcha button showed up and nothing comes up with your vin still, then maybe they are using someone else to...
okay, so far i've found this one option to track convoy from rail to dealer. it's a pain in the butt to register though and the registration email went to my spam folder. i had to register on my phone... wouldn't work on my desktop until after i already registered and created an account...
agree we are likely better informed than the average salesperson, but i am sure there are enthusiasts like us for mustangs and some of the ford pickups. i feel like they should have paired us with a more informed salesperson for that reason.
yeah, i know they want that sale. i hope it's closer to the 1 week mark as opposed to the 3 week mark! i keep trying to warn my sales guy about it and he keeps brushing it off. he called today to tell me my bronco was in transit.... i said "yeah, it's been in transit for over two weeks now...
uggggh that's super crappy!! did they tell you their plan? like, are they having a tech from another dealership come, or are they waiting until they hire someone that's certified?
that’s such a bummer. i found the recall and it does say they can sub it out with a glass shop or body shop and that they can file a claim with ford to be reimbursed. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/attachments/bronco-recall-pdf.347727/
wow. did you ask if they could have a glass shop do it? i believe that’s mentioned in the bulletin but not sure. i will try and find it. and doesn’t ford reimburse them so it’s not like it’s coming out of their pocket?
yesssss i've been waiting for something like this to come out!! my bronco should be here any day now. want to check the throw first since i never got to test drive a manual but my guess is that i'll be buying this!!
did they say how long it would take for them to get the recall done? i've seen some do same day and other dealers have said it was going to be two weeks. mine won't tell me anything because it hasn't arrived yet, even though it's only a few hours away on the train lol.
