HAHA! just do the background in a nice grey, the wave in blue, and use a tiny brush with very little paint on it to do the white highlights. i am not much of a painter either. go to walmart and get some very small brushes and take your time. then you can clear spray the whole thing.

Those are cool. I like the way it printed them. Do not smooth them out. You could use a color that makes it look like lumber that has been at the ocean for a long time.
