  1. For Cracked MIC Top Owners

....further add to the "leaks" argument.... Sunroofs. You ask most mechanics the one option that drives them nuts the most, and sunroofs will be close to the top of that list, for the sole reason of hunting down a "leak", and at some point they all do. Either clogged drain line(s), or degraded...
  2. For Cracked MIC Top Owners

In my opinion, when you willingly buy a vehicle with a removable top, "leaks" are a risk you take. Has been that way since the dawn of automotive time. Ford's lawyers will easily defeat that argument with plenty of other examples from other manufacturers over the past several decades. But...
  3. For Cracked MIC Top Owners

Had an 05' with the V8. Life in Raleigh, except for 3 years in Chicago (2/09 - 11/11). By the time we left for DC, the rims were bubbling. Nothing can withstand that road salt! Might as well park in the surf at the beach.
  4. That's the breaks... Changing rear Brake pads at 18,7** miles

Ah ok that makes sense. When I looked at the photo, I thought one pad was the inside and one was the outside on each rotor. Thought you were showing both rotor usage.
  5. That's the breaks... Changing rear Brake pads at 18,7** miles

I know you're pointing to missing springs, but when I see such uneven pad usage on the same wheel, it makes me think you've got stuck guide pins too and one side is dragging. I presume you'll pull the pins, clean that out and relube? Given the off-road usage history, it wouldn't be a terrible...
  6. Unrepairable recalls piling up.

This is my first Ford, and only my second American brand car. I've had 20 vehicles in my life. Honestly, nobody makes them like they used to anymore, even from just 5 years ago. When I realized this about 18 months ago when starting my car shopping routine, I decided to give the Americans...
  7. What’s your pick for Modular bumper fog lights?

I have the 4 light IAG’s that are both white and amber with the ability to change via two switches on the aux switches. They’ve been good, and will definitely throw some light wore/high/far. The reality is though, you can really only use any of these lights when your path is free from traffic...
  8. First time Bronco Owner.

Ahhh look atcha’…just got her home and already naked… we shall anoint you as ā€œBronco Hefnerā€. 😁
  9. Anyone know where I can get a woodgrain dash like this? Or a nice decal/wrap?

Yep, I agree! I think it does pop through that piece, I stand corrected! This link also agrees with you too. You can actually see the airbag assembly on the back side of that piece. Very good point!! I would be cautious of wrapping this part. Not only for safety reasons, but legal reasons...
  10. Criminals broke 5 of my windows :( [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Sorry, I tend to just lump it all as DC. You’re right, I’m about 35 miles NW of downtown DC on the edge of the suburb sprawl. But I do go into DC for meeting quite often. Side note, it’s why I still have the antenna on my Bronco, as it acts as my height checker for some of those underground...
  11. Anyone know where I can get a woodgrain dash like this? Or a nice decal/wrap?

I’m pretty sure (but not positive) the airbag actually comes out from the underside lip of the top piece of the dash, and not through the plastic face piece of dash. I think the risk of it shattering the plastic into tiny sharp pieces would be counterproductive to the airbag itself and to the...
  12. Anyone know where I can get a woodgrain dash like this? Or a nice decal/wrap?

I suspect that dash is actually a wrap. I’m willing to bet it was all disassembled, individually wrapped, and put back together. The dash part looks very nice and would love see more options like that myself!
  13. Criminals broke 5 of my windows :( [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

That really sucks!! KC is getting some bad press lately too. I used to live out in O/Park a long time ago. Brother is still there. Those are some stupid criminals to break five windows to gain access to the inside of a car. I’m no criminal (despite living in DC), but seems that if I were...
  14. Anyone know where I can get a woodgrain dash like this? Or a nice decal/wrap?

They go very well with the ā€œroastā€ interior, and silver cover rings. It’s one of my favorite tweaks I made to mine, and have received many compliments for it. It warms up the cabin feel, and gives it a little retro throwback vibe at the same time. The only piece I didn’t use was for the window /...
  15. Dealership saying I need a new engine at 77k miles

Starting to wonder if a troll post by a corporate ā€œjeepsterā€ for Google search reasons. Kind’ve like that one 1-star reviewer on an Amazon item with 5,000 5-star reviews…
  16. Dealership saying I need a new engine at 77k miles

Once it is determined that the dealership is full of crap, you should share the name here so others won’t make the same mistake. Unless if you cooked the engine and it’s locked up, which I highly doubt, the chances of you needing a new one are about as slim as winning the lottery.
  17. Dealership saying I need a new engine at 77k miles

Hole in radiator. Yup. Since the beginning of time when the first car was ever produced, a bad radiator has always meant new engine. Hope you don’t get a flat tire. They’ll tell you it’s totalled and need a new Bronco…preferably the 2023 Raptor currently sitting in the showroom for $125,000…
  18. Intermittent Braking Peculiarity

Tell me about it…. Mr. Tire forgot Mr. Lug Nut… 2017. Needless to say, he was fired on the spot. Quality test drive check after a rotation/balance didn’t go so well for ole’ Cliff.
  19. Jeep Challenges Ford Bronco's "Best In Class" Advertising Claims, But NAD Sides With Ford

I'm sure this topic is up there with discussing Mobile 1 and Castrol..... But I will say this, my own personal opinion from my own very limited experience in real world setting of the car being my primary vehicle and why I picked the Bronco (easily) over the Wrangler when I went shopping...
