OK Gents, love my PnP/kicker setup but running into limiters b/c the amp cannot pull enough power through the OEM harness. Anyone else facing this? I figure I just need to cut a wire and replace with battery power OR make a little adapter harness. FWIW - ran the DSP at about 20, gains on 200.4...

Honestly, I was just hoping JL would find a little different approach. All things being equal, the SRQ is a fantastic deal for an enclosure with a sub already built. I went with Kicker coax and amps this round, running a HS10 for now but will be considering an upgrade in the future.

I'm running a Northshore Racks NSR-4 bike rack mounted to a Kuat swing. Awesome setup but you'll be pushing it with 5-6 bikes and will have to forgo the swing. Swings are rated at 250# (iirc), rack is 50...leaves 200# for 6 bikes, or 33# each. Doable esp with kids bikes but cutting it close...

I've done the Plugnplay kit with Key 200.4, Kicker CS speakers in dash and kick panels and the HS10 sub. Sounds good, easy install and really makes a huge difference. I'd say that the amp is essential, dash upgrade recommended and kicks could go either way....sub is a must. I used the controls...

stocks are not as efficient as the KS, they're harder to drive. Effective db output goes up. I agree, he needs to upgrade the kicks.
