I’ve only gone to Assateague, with a previous Jeep and my wife’s Pilot. The beach has pretty deep ruts at times and I’d worry about ground clearance with my car- although I’ve seen a few Outbacks there with larger tires than stock.

I know - it was just a thought,, for a moment. Ultimately I am going to get the Bronco and am willing to accept that it may have minor issues as long as the safety aspect is good. Hey people love their Jeep’s even though reliability for them is questionable at best. ?

That's just if you are totally removing the top. I doubt many will do this as opposed to just folding it all the way down, unless you are swapping it out for a hard top.

This certainly makes me take pause. I have a reliable 6 year old Subaru wagon. I’ve debated just keeping it and adding a 1 1/2” lift plus all terrain tires since the only off roading I’ll be doing is at the beach. Laugh at CR all you want but for some of us jumping back into a domestic vehicle...

@porjos Assateague is nice although you need a permit and often times there is a line to get on the beach.

If things go as planned I'll be there the end of June with our new Bronco! Keeping my fingers crossed that it gets delivered in time for our vacation.

I stopped into a local dealer this week to test drive the Ranger, explaining that my Bronco reservation was with another dealer but since they were local I'd like to compare the 2.3 and 2.7 engines. He had no idea that the Bronco was being offered with the 2.7

I test drove a Ranger and F-150 on Monday. I really liked the responsiveness of the 2.3 engine, apart from some inherent turbo lag. To me the 2.7 felt sort of "boring" for lack of a better word. I'm used to my Subaru boxer engine so maybe I'm just biased towards the smaller engine as a result...

Did you not feel that the 2.3 had more “low end” power by comparison? I plan to do the same test drive on Monday.

What is going on with the rear quarter window? I hope they aren’t as flimsy as this makes it look.

Looks good to me too! I am one of the minorities here that like a middle sized tire. When they wear out, maybe I’ll switch to 33” but we’ll see. I do prefer the Steelies over the upgraded BD rims though.

Personally I like it. This will be my order in cactus gray.
