I haven't hit any deer or anything but the factory bull bar saved me from 1. a dirt bike going right into the front of my bronco (was doing a wheelie so it was up higher) and 2. one of those parking lot arms from messing up my grille
The dirt bike scratched up my bull bar but I was able to...
Is the dash one of those rubbery-type materials? I just had an idea that might work if you're careful enough - silicone caulking. Find the closest color match available, tape off everything except for the crack, and put just enough to level it out. You can try to match the texture after but it...
My two comments here show what I did: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/mount-a-radar-detector-on-a-phone-mount.64154/post-1767994

The bass blockers connect somewhere between the Ford connector and the speaker, I just don't remember which side of the Metra harness I put them on. Both the bass blockers and the wiring harnesses were from Crutchfield as well.

Weird, it says they don't fit mine either. Maybe it's because it's not "directly" plug and play without a couple add ons.
Basically, I had to also order the "Metra Female Quick Slides" and "Metra 72-5603 Speaker Wiring Harness" (which Crutchfield will include both for free with your order) in...

Mine is loose as well, and there's a good chance any new ones will be too. I think you're better off using foam to keep it from rattling like you mentioned
Yeah, I just had a chance to check mine and it's the same as you described. I still have a felt lining in the blank spots, it's just a lot thinner than the rest of it
I had the same issue once where the window motor would click but not move, and it was a dead motor as you're suspecting
I have some info/pics on it here in case you want to replace it yourself

Yeah I had one like that, they're surprisingly nice and are almost identical to the OEM racks. If you're just using it for a ski rack, I'm sure it'll be more than enough
