Yeah it just screws directly into the hole on the dash, very easy to take in and out

From what I've seen on here - find a glass repair shop to do it for you. They'll have better tools/experience with that stuff

It almost looks like they had to remove/reinstall yours based on the outlines. Might've been misplaced the first time and redone at some point

Yeah I had one like that, they're surprisingly nice and are almost identical to the OEM racks. If you're just using it for a ski rack, I'm sure it'll be more than enough

Which one are you looking at? If it's one of the OEM style ones, they're pretty nice and are almost identical to the one from Ford.
