I should probably add, my current truck does not have it, and the Bronco would rarely be used. She's never been behind the wheel of the truck in 2 years, and the same will likely happen with the Bronco....esp if I go manual!

I think that is a first gen Colorado (maybe a Canyon). They sat considerably lower than the current gen. I believe the rear axle on them was above the leaf springs, which made them easier to lower. The current gen has the axle below the springs, and I'm aware of only one kit made to lower them...

I'm thinking it may also have a torsion spring in it, somewhat like tailgates with spring-loaded hinges. In position to remove-there's no tension, it loads the spring as it closes. There is no stop-strap, so a spring might make sense to prevent it from freely swinging to full open.

Black Bear is challenging for any 4 wheeled vehicle. My point was a Rubicon tracks at around 63", Bronco (base) is 65". Bronco's 4dr wheelbase is actually 2" shorter (116 vs 118). Those H1's run almost 72" X 130". Yes, BB Pass will be challenging. But, I don't see the Bronco's size...

I WANT to like the CO, and think I'd love it on a Mustang (or similar) or any classic car with lots of curves and round surfaces. I'm just not sure can get into it on a "truck". VB is the same for me too.

There was an Autonation in Burleson that had posted pics/listing last week of a A51 Sport Badlands that were clearly taken from their lot as well as a Carbonized Grey and one more. By Sunday, I looked again and only the Carbonized Grey is listed now.

NOOB here---what is the purpose of the "Soft shackle"? The rope has protected loops, I wouldn't hang it over a bumper or frame, but would a regular steel shackle be harmful?
