This is a known issue as of about a year ago after a certain GWM update. The GWM is hung up. The only way to fix it is to disconnect the 12v battery for 20 minutes to fully de-energize the module and force a hard reset. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery for 20 minutes and when you...
Edit: TRON has not been added to the full-size Bronco yet......nothing I wrote below is applicable in this case.
The problem is TRON. Ford introduced TRON to these cars in 2025 I believe and the 2023 models did not have it. The HCM is on the TRON network, so there is no way to program the 2023...
Yes, the OTA you got in January was 10.1.0 which is also an APIM update that precedes the TCU update you just got. Certain modules (GWM, APIM, TCU and sometimes IPC) need to be updated in a particular sequence, so that is perfectly normal behavior.
That is an old TCU (modem) update first reported in September of 2024.
@GoHawks63 APIM update SYNC-25.2.1.6.5.2 will be the next one you get. No way of knowing when it will be sent, though.
I'll see what the software strategy is on it so it can be compared to what you guys have on these, but that part does not concern me. If it's needed, you can flash the IPC firmware with FORScan. It'll take 6 hours to do, but it can be done.
No big deal to me.....just noticed a possible way to...
I've been following this thread since it started and this picture just made me notice something. I am in the process of trying to do this same upgrade to my girl's Bronco Sport and this cluster seems to be identical to the one I got on eBay off of a 2025 Bronco Sport for her car. Can you or...
Not sure if I've mentioned it on this forum or not, but I have 4 Mongoose cables I loan out for free to anyone that needs one. Details are below for anyone interested. Assuming the owner already has a windows based laptop, this would make FDRS very inexpensive for anyone to use...
In the case of the touchscreen, you won't have to check it. It will pop up every time you start the vehicle. This will happen for 14 days or 30 days (depending on the type of update it is) until you either allow it to install or the OTA trigger expires on Ford's side.
Having auto-updates on or off makes no difference in terms of how often you will get updates. If you have updates set to off and they send you one, you will get a notification asking for permission to install it like below. The only way to get updates without waiting for the OTA process is by...
Oh boy. This is going to be fun for dealers to fix on the first year runs that are stuck on old software. It could be a blessing in disguise for those guys.
Go into your IPC here and see if TSR is disabled. If it is, enable it, reboot the IPC in the wrench icon and check again.
The cruise control distance is one I have not come across before. Check is AC is enabled here in the IPC:
Also check if IACC is enabled here:
Edit: Just checked my...
