You can change your order until the VIN is assigned, right? So why don't you order it with the soft top and see how long the wait would be when they tell you the production schedule in May? If you have to wait longer than you would like, then just switch back to the modular top.
I'm about to spend close to $60k on a FORD that doesn't even have leather or power seats, no option for a roof that can match the color of the body, can't bear the weight of a large child on the top, and can barely tow a canoe... so yeah, I can imagine $80k for an optioned out Defender.

They are out there, but at the 2 dealers near me there have been no sports, rangers, or F150's in Cactus when i have checked on multiple occasions.
I may be answering a question that nobody has anymore, but my intention was just to do my part to help the community just in case anyone is still...
As we have seen in recent posts, a Cactus Gray Bronco is making its way through SoCal Ford dealerships this week.
When i originally saw the announcement images from Ford back in July, this was my go to color. But as we got updates, I fell out of love with it.
So, now that I finally that I...

I'm guessing there is enough angle on it that it should rest easily on the back under normal conditions.
I'd buy a classic Bronco. There's a guy that has several beautifully restored ones in Hermosa Beach (and a Harvester) that I would have to inquire about. The whole point for me is to get a Bronco. I love the iconic lines / looks of them. If i wanted to get a regular 4x4 rock crawler, I would...
All I know is that I just got done watching 3 seasons of Yellowstone, and I don't recall seeing horses drink from a well. So, I'm gonna buy a 6th tire, but just rotate 3.
I finally went for the hard top once they started including the sound deadening headliner for free. I had the same thought that it should be much easier to source a soft top aftermarket if needed down the road.
Ideally, I wanted to get a white hard top, but that will have to wait until I...
