  1. So if your Bronco isn't delivered on time...

My 80 year old folks own a Honda pilot. Seems to fit that demographic. That is the only one the greater family has ever owned. One of my friends had an S2000, that was awesome. Think there is a parable about the sun and dog's ass that synchs up here.
  2. Why is everyone afraid of the engine bay?

Agree - leave it to ze Germans. Neat, organized. Loved that 2.7 turbo.
  3. Rick Astley build journal: MY2? Badlands 2.3/MT/2-door

My information is a few years out of date (and not retail) and I appreciate the updates. My point was more just spend the $ and let leave it to the pros. Time > $
  4. Jeep vs Ford - Thoughts, Opinions, Experiences on longevity and durability sought.

Owned a Wrangler for 6 years (pre FCA), loved it, never had problems with it. Owned a Grand Cherokee for 3 years until about year ago. Loved it visually (materials, 5.7L V8 feel, etc.) but it turned out to be a mechanical and electrical system nightmare. The 4th time we had to have it...
  5. Bronco Dealer Name

The George RR Martin Off Road Emporium
  6. Rick Astley build journal: MY2? Badlands 2.3/MT/2-door

Few Months? A good paint shop and about say $3,500 probably safely gets you there. Look at how much time I saved you. You could probably get it for a lot less, but as you pointed out that would take time and effort and tools......:p
  7. Is this financially irresponsible?

I think you have that turned around. this is an expense 1) The price of the vehicle is valued in CY 2021 $. You are taking that price(lets assume you have 45k over 5 years ($750/mo). The payments are constant. They don't go up as inflation depresses the value of the dollar. Which...
  8. Is this financially irresponsible?

Financing over the longest term possible is always the most financially responsible thing to do provided your interest rate is 0.00%
  9. What are you trading in to get your new Bronco?

Rainbows and Unicorns. So far its a completely even trade of mythical creatures....
  10. What compromises would you make to take a Bronco home off the lot before your scheduled delivery?

None. It always surprises me that the car industry expects you to spend 50k+ on something that does not have everything you want. If you wanted it, you would not compromise. If you do compromise you really didn't want it.
  11. Why Does 2022 4dr Sasquatch Get Roof Rack

Bingo..... so the most likely option is that there will be a 2.3l option that will allow you to get the roof rack with.... seems likely since they are talking about a manual squatch as well....same solution.
  12. Will this new Ford Bronco be your first Bronco?

    Nope, not the first.
  13. 🗓 Modular Painted Top and Dual Tops Pushed to 2022 (Cloth and MIC tops only available at launch) + green color and white top confirmed

The good news in all this is that by next summer there should be plenty of empirical data on the Wrangler 392 for those who would have wondered about the road not taken. Just saying.
  14. MPG Poll...yes it has come to this

with 20.8 gallons in the 4 door, below 14.5 avg would be hard to stomach. Below 300 miles in overall range is pretty feeble. But, that is probably where it will end up. I didn't mind that kind of economy in my 5.7L powered grand Cherokee because it had almost 25 gallon tank.
  15. Tell Me What You Think

Everyone has a plan until Ford punches you in the face
  16. Chapman Of Horsham with @dealerinsider

No point at looking at rates now. They will be totally different when you have something to finance.....
  17. 🗓 Modular Painted Top and Dual Tops Pushed to 2022 (Cloth and MIC tops only available at launch) + green color and white top confirmed

I encourage all MY 2021 order holders that are in front of me to hold their 2021 reservations and make the changes necessary so that when MY 2022 comes around I am first in line.:) The best part about waiting until 2022 is that interest rates will be like 20% so we have that going for us.......
