Um... the only people in this scenario who are actually using their bronco are those that delivered with bad tops. Guess what, all those broncos on Dirt Mountain are going to have to ship at some point before any additional broncos are built and shipped according to their priorities. having...
Exactly. Why would you ship good tops to customers with a top already before clearing out all of the Dirt Mountain inmates. I'm in the camp that they should have just shipped the Broncos to prevent 1) get them to the customers who have been waiting and 2) avoid a major backlog in shipping once...
my gut says someone who's driving around in a Bronco with a MIC isn't really sweating bullets on when they'll get their replacement top, especially if they realize there have been Broncos build for a couple of months just sitting and owners waiting to get their hands on them
Not sure I'm 100% good with this news. Why would they start shipping tops to customers who already have their Bronco before clearing out Dirt Mountain? Current owners are fine driving around for a bit longer with a "not perfect" top!
So since mine is already built and sitting on dirt mountain, why couldn’t they let owners opt for a soft top? Seems easier than waiting for a mythical top to be designed, tested, manufactured and then installed.
How about putting a soft top on the WT 21’ sitting on dirt mountain. It’s already prewired for a hard top! Why Ford isn’t giving the option to the bad MIC owners in purgatory is beyond me.
Looks great and Best Top does a great job. That said, I like how the factory top locks into place as you put the top back. The Best Top seems like it just flops back. Highway speeds ok?
Wife wanted a Telluride. Found the exact one and went to buy it. It had 5k ADM plus 5k of BS like nitrogen in tires, ceramic coating, theft protection. I walked away and ordered what she wanted from my local dealer. They told me no ADM's or added BS. 6 months later picked it up and gave a...
I drove the exact same setup at my local dealer. Didn't even occur to me the soft top isn't available on wildtrak! I would take one in a heartbeat over my Bronco sitting ANYWHERE other than my garage right now.
It may be time to break up the band and split the MIC's from the Softies. Unfortunately, it looks like those of us with MIC's had builds right before the panic button was pressed. I'm not anticipating seeing a vehicle for quite some time- They have to engineer a new top, test it, then mass...
Can anyone explain why it's not better to just ship out what they have now? I keep hearing cost but having that many Broncos taking up space and shuffling around comes at a cost. Not to mention the backup that will be caused with trying to send so many out in addition to sending the newly...
Meh. Its not a cost thing at this point. It's a "salvage the customer and face" and Broncos sitting in a dirt lot does nobody good. Get rid of them and send out the tops when they have them. Also, are they going to a jeep style top with midrow part of the clam shell? I assume they'll be...
My dealer said Monday my build was done on 8/5 as stated but it was waiting for 1 additional step. Guessing it was a MIC hold. I wish they would just send them out and figure out a solution for a replacement top later. Also, I’m so surprised a 4 door soft top was easier to figure out and build...
