I'm a bit of a knife geek. As such, steel formulations are interesting to me. This is pretty damn cool.
I didn't see in the story, does Ford have exclusive rights to this steel? That'd be cool, like Spydercos SPY27.
You mistake my arrogant correction of the poster's terminology for fanboism. I literally listed at least 3 other manufacturers of full time AWD systems. And never said "real."
While I am a fan of Subarus (the fun ones), I'm not a blind zealot. Although, one might call your classification of...
Somebody has never driven a first generation STi all locked up on the dirt!
In all seriousness, it totally depends on what you're doing with it. Personally, I don't sweat a few MPGs, I find modern vehicles to be quite reliable when well maintained, and the grip of actual AWD can be a HUGE...
As far as I know Jeep and Toyota don't offer a full time AWD system in the states.
Most manufacturers use either selectable 4wd (4Hi, 4Lo, 2wd) like the standard Bronco Tcase, Automatic AWD (Front or rear wheel drive until slippage is detected), or a combination of the two like the upgraded...
You don't have to use Google Maps. And if you like SYNC great. My response was for those bitching about SYNC.
I liked the SYNC in my 2010 as well. In 2010. In today's day and age I find it useless, as everything I need infotainment wise is available through my phone.
To each their own.
Definitely if you're going to go the Ford recommended blend at 10k oil changes.
I prefer to go full synthetic at 5k, and don't find a catch can necessary.
That's a little misleading. You don't want to lug the engine by punching it with a heavy load, low rpm, high gear.
But getting on the go peddle at low rpms is not a problem in the proper gear.
Maybe? I haven't paid too much attention as DIOs don't interest me. The selection is just going to be too limited. Ford will have over 200 items at launch. There will be 5 times that many released by the aftermarket the first year.
I'd rather get a good deal on what I want than settle for...
Why all this talk of SYNC? I've used SYNC 1, it sucked, my FiST has SYNC 3, I have no idea how good it is personally, I hear it sucks, I use Android Auto.
The Bronco will use SYNC 4 with wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play. Why would anybody use SYNC when they'll have a wireless mirror...
Bought a pair of their pods. 1 of the originals and 2 replacements died within 3 months. They covered them, but it was a PITA. Sold them second hand real quick and replaced with Baja Designs that have over a year and a half of constant (day and night) use with zero issues.
I don't really trust dealership lot boys to slap it on though, free or not.
Plus the initial markup from Ford kind-of negates the free install.
Really would rather choose my own accessories for myself instead of what Ford thinks I want.
For example, in my experience Rigid lights are...
