The new 7 speed manual has a torque limit of basically 400lbs, it was stated in a video not too long ago. Ford will not put that transmission behind the 2.7 from factory knowing it's basically maxed out and problematic.
As for a new manual transmission capable to handle the 2.7, I don't see Ford...
I'm torn between these 2 builds and it could go either way at time of order.
"Open Air" Badlands 4 DR w/ 33" Beadlocks and M/T's, 2.7 V6 + 10 Speed, MGV washout Interior, High Pkg, MIC Hardtop in Velocity Blue (tube doors, pod lights, bimini top)
or
Black Diamond 4 DR w/ Sasquatch, Mid Pkg, 2.7...
Negotiation over what? It is MSRP plus whatever discount some dealers have offered on top but that's it. I'm thinking the special discount will be applied at time of pick up / purchase.
I guess deposits are required by Ford and Granger just decided to offer something they couldn't or shouldn't have? It's a no brainer, why order a 50-60k vehicle and be stuck with it when buddy decides to bail on said order. Sure they could sell it off the lot but it would look very bad for the...
Don't think you can wait and pay that amount for it, from factory it's only the MIC top and that's it, if it even becomes available it would be through Ford Performance Accessories and you can count on it being more expensive.
Still can't decide on Sasquatch or No Sasquatch.
Option A - Black Diamond; Sasquatch, Mid Pkg, 2.7 TT, 10A, MIC Hardtop in Velocity Blue
or
Option B - "Open Air Themed" Badlands; 33" Beadlocks w/ Mud Terrains, High Pkg, 2.7 TT, 10A, MIC Hardtop, 4 Tube Doors, Ditch Lights, Yakima Roof Rack in...
7 speed Manual 2.3 in a 2 door would be fun but I'm not investing in that 4 banger while in a heavy 4 door off roading vehicle with steep gearing and big tires. Doesn't matter how much HP you can tune it to, the problem is longevity over time. The 2.7 has iron graphite coating (Taken from the...
last getgrag manual ford put into a vehicle has been plagued the entire time, the mt-82 in the 2011-current mustangs, (I owned one) were garbage. 10 speed is much more stout and has much more support, that new 6+1 is built by getrag so not completely sold on it yet.
That is the Ford Performance "Capaable" Bumper that has the D rings and retains the fog lights, However I can't seem to equip that one to BD or BL models in the build and price.
Top 3 Choices
Black Diamond w/ Sasquatch, 2.7 V6 TT, 10A, MIC Roof and Mid Package in Velocity Blue
or
Badlands w/ 33" Beadlocks/MT's, 2.7 V6 TT, 10A, MIC Roof and High Package in Carbonized Grey or Shadow Black (the orange stitching just kills the exterior colour choices)
or
The "Open Air"...
Well the Canadian build and price didn't even have the accessory drop downs working besides the one for the roof rack carriers etc, I'm hoping all the accessories are added and more importantly they fix the errors on the build and price., along with a few more options and choices.
12" screen is not offered on Black Diamond, it just says in the package that it is optional and it is but on higher trims. Now we've got a thread going over this but nowhere does it say that a 12" screen is available or equipped in the Black Diamond.
Had been leaning towards a Black Diamond with or w/o Sasquatch depending on price but I'm making the push for a 4 door Badlands, 2.7 10A, Marine grade vinyl washout interior with High package and the special Badlands only 17" bead lock rims and the 285 series 33" Mud Terrains tires. I had gone...
Could you imagine if this ended up being true? That would be a lot of pissed off potential customers and it would look even worse on those dealers offering special discounts just to get the reservations.
I'm paying MSRP and have no issues in doing so, we don't have those plans or special...
