Oh man, as someone who babies his cars, incl a few manuals, this hurts. Yet the hurt is quickly replaced by my amazement at the Beavis and Butthead approach to burnouts these guys have. "Heh heh That was cool, Butthead." "Shut up, dumbass!"
I LOVE the wheels; they're the best offered on any Bronco, I reckon. I'm ok with the 2.3. Good engine. The snorkel seems rather J.C.Whitney; I would rather see it as an option for those who truly think they need it. But that massive fender decal is hideous.
That's interesting. In Murrysville (PA) on Thursday, Franklin-Regional School district was having a parade for graduating seniors; I saw at least one Wrangler with all 4 doors removed (in the pouring rain) loaded with 4 students, with several Murrysville police guiding traffic. No issue.
I love everything about this build, but I give you special props for the tire cover. If I had to be stuck in traffic, I'd be ok with being stuck behind a gorgeous Bronco with a positive message of faith.
Even on my 5.0 F-150, I get no better mileage in Eco, and sometimes 1 mpg worse than Normal mode, with all of the steep hills I have around here. In Eco mode it feels like the powertrain is desperate to not downshift, thus running less efficiently; while in Normal mode it says "hold my beer" and...
I noticed the crossbars are not adjustable front-to-back. I have a roof cargo carrier and its mounting locations do not line up with the placement of the Bronco's crossbars. I had a 2005 Escape on which you could slide the crossbars fore and aft. Very useful functionality.
