Other than the headlight issue (comes on by themselves out of nowhere- and the chime sound when it should not) no other major problems with it. I love it otherwise.
I also live in NJ, I have the modular bumper and decided there is NO WAY Iām drilling holes in my thousand dollar bumper. Iāve been driving with an omitted front plate since May without any problemsā¦. So far.
SSM 50842 - 2021-2022 Bronco - Headlamps Turn On
By Themselves When Vehicle Is Off - DTC B1533
Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition of intermittent headlamp operation while the vehicle is OFF and have diagnostic trouble code (DTC)
B1533stored in the body control module...
Same EXACT situation here. Ford parts/service acted as if Iām the only one with this issue⦠said theyāve heard nothing of the sort before.
Unbelievable.
Thatās because itās I believe itās not the āphysicalā switch itself, but the logic board that drives it. The so called āswitchā seems to merely be an āencoderā
Ah ok thanks. However I would at least THINK the service/parts department would be aware of the issue. This guy was (I believe) genuinely clueless. Thanks for the update
Well, my Bronco suffers from the (apparently rare) issue of headlights coming on randomly by themselves, long after itās been parked/locked.
Its done this since day one (got it in may)
Id read others have had the same issue, and the consensus was there is a logic board at the headlight...
I have to wonder about the old cars from decades ago that only had body-rot, is it that the frames were built better? (didnāt seem to be so effected by rust) or did I just not notice?
Thank you! Itās (so far) the ONLY issue Iāve found with my 22ā I knew this was a known issue but wasnāt sure itād been resolved. I was told (over the summer) Ford would have a replacement logic board for the switch in October. That never happened lol.
