Ford should have had a hole already located at the “accessory ready” location. Ford could have put a gasketed nutsert in that location with a rubber plug.
I’d be afraid that it would hydrolock. To much fluid can actually bend connecting rods if it leaks past the rings into the upper cylinders and lock up the engine.
From my understanding an oil separator returns the oil to the crankcase but a catch can captures the oil and stores it in a can without recycling the oil to be disposed off.
