Sorry u had issues! I (we) had issues with other cos.=chev/gmc/the late Olds/MG (Leyland).....never Ford. At least none(serious) that were not fixed ...
NOT US! We are former Jeep (CJ5'ers); Family Cars usually a 'truck' of some sort Suburbans; PU's; Ford now.....our 2dr Base 2.3 stick provides fun, economy and durability. What else is there as far as we're concerned.....no other ego trip(s) needed??
Basically > Had a Jeep (Liked to for what it was!/Mechanically Excellent/routine maintenance for the 78,000 miles we owned it). Now, '22 base 2dr Bronco, 2.3/stick > 1,500mi+ so far=Love It (for what it is.....not a Jeep.....we didn't expect it to be). Merry Christmas & Best Wishes. Our is same...
I agree with CyberFalco's tip; diesels especially the now extinct Cat's critically needed a "unwind period" imo. Also, more critical if you drive long periods I think! Don't overextend your oil change timeframes--I'm thinking less than 5k. Oil lubes and Cools.....
Our 2.3 base stick 22+, same driving regimen as u. The 2.3 has evolved over many years. We had a dual ohc 1.9 in an Aerostar 5spd. Hauled 6 and NEVER any issues. No regrets then, or, now....
Sure sorry to hear your disappointment(s). Our '22 just turned over 1k and only an 8 month wait; base 2dr, 2.3, stick. Good mpg, rides/handles great--kinda noisy....but, we had CJ5 that was durable as Satan mechanically, rusted, and was/is light years behind Jeep's current offerings, in our...
Sorry to learn about this! But, not surprised= I will never own Goodyear passenger/truck tires EVER again. Lucky for us, we got Bridgestone's on our Base delivered 10/17/22. Goodyear ag tires ok.....they sold the name to Titan. Have to think they are hurting; pbly cut Ford a deal they couldn't...
At one time (don't know about current practices) I was told that to hit their price-point/margin etc. that vendors would cut a corner here & there....so, the code on Michelin Size(s) I checked there had an added code Letter at the end versus the same exact one(s) I checked at other tire...
