400+ day which is shorter than some but I took delivery yesterday and had a great drive back to Central Texas through the Hill Country. Very impressed with the vehicle except some mild top noise and buzzing. I think the roof rack has something to do with it. And the stereo with sub delete needs...
I may have to start working up the line if I don’t get responses. My sales guy is responsive when I initiate contact but I’m not getting definitive answers. I definitely don’t want to be adversarial but my delivery and pick up windows keep getting harder to arrange.
Thanks for the insight. I contacted my salesman today and he thought almost 2 weeks in the railyard was odd so he will have the manager contact them tomorrow. Who knows? I can see where the railyard wait becomes aggravating. We aren’t waiting on a Aston Martin or Ferrari.
And of course, a...
Who is ultimately responsible for delivery from the railyard to the dealer? Ford or the dealer? Because the shipping company doesn’t own the vehicle. I’m almost at two weeks sitting in the railyard. I’m three plus hours away from the dealer so I keep rearranging potential transportation to pick...
That is strange but not unprecedented. Maybe see if other recent build weeks have this issue. I think there may have been quite a few in the November builds that had significant delays. See if your dealer can escalate but that’s a crap shoot as well.
I’m from the 12/19 week which became the 1/9 week unofficially and also at the San Antonio yard since 1/27. It will be interesting to see how fast your order is transported out.
I wonder what damage that would have been?. I don’t think there was hail in SA or Austin. Ice and rain shouldn’t damage unless vehicles were on transport and wrecked. My Bronco arrived in Kirby on 1/27 so it sat there in the yard. Dealer said probably not this week.
I hear you. It may take longer for my order to go from the rail yard to the dealership 70 miles away than it did from the MAP to Texas. 🤦🏻‍♂️
From the looks of your other vehicles, you likely have experience with higher end systems.
That basic solution y'all recommend would be more economical and less hassle. I definitely like good sound but this isn't the vehicle that is a concert hall. If the kicker key 200.4 is only going to only...
Some say 200.4 isn’t making much of a difference. Do you have an opinion on the difference, especially from the front? Do you find the mid bass from the kick panel is sufficient?
Good work. I wonder if the 5V wires are the signal which would be line level instead of speaker level and could someone adapt these to rca connects for aftermarket amps? You still have to deal with power and remote turn on vs signal level activation I wonder if plugnplay would offer a conversion...
Has anyone put a meter up to the harness to see if any power and/or signal is coming from the head unit to that "amplifier"? That would determine if this is a plug n play situation. I guess you could source OEM speaker and amplifier. Another possibility is you could get subwoofer sound signal...
There is a guy somewhere on here and I think one on YouTube who put a Kicker 8” hideaway back there. The newer 10” has almost the same dimensions as well. You can compare tnose dimensions.
I will take this as my baby pic since we have twins, so thanks! This is what mine looked like prior to the roof rack which I assume got installed off the assembly line. No built or shipped email and no baby pic but I’ve tracked the order to the final rail yard this afternoon. My sales guy has...
