Yea, just got the same thing this morning. I asked if they stopped giving people that information and they said they were instructed to direct people to that website from now on. Lame
That's really good to hear! I'm starting to get stressed myself, but stories like this are encouraging. If I were you I'd take the car, promise to be faithful if they ask and never call them again. Play the game.
Congrats on the Bronco.
From everything I've head, the order date doesn't matter. It's the reservation date that holds your place in line. Kind of backwards in my brain, but if that's the way it's actually working then you should be ok.
It's interesting. If the other thread is to be believed, then all soft tops currently ordered will be built in 2021 with MY21. Changing to a MY22 right away would presumably make you ineligible for (slim) chance your car gets made in 2021. It seems like it would be better to wait to...
I got an 8/1/2021 reservation date, so I'm not holding my breath. Odd how someone who ordered the car can get jumped by someone who orders later but reserved earlier.
Ah, gotcha. I guess I'll do the same. I was thinking that a new MY22 order placed in October would be a higher priority build than an earlier MY21 order that was transferred to MY22 in November. It's confusing how this stuff works, but as long as transferring to MY22 doesn't reset our order...
The math hits out, I dig it.
So if this is possible, people will have to make a decision on whether to transfer to MY22 when order banks open, yes? If you switch to MY22 in September, I would imagine you wouldn't be included in the 42,000 projected cars since they will be MY21. If you don't...
lolz, yea I saw that. It's hard for me to believe that an order/reservation made in august of 2021 is going to be built before January, no matter what the build specs are. Fingers crossed tho, it feels good to have some hope.
I made sure to get the soft top and no squatch because of this. No modes at all, it's a base base model.
The dealer is Wayne Ford in NJ, not sure how big they are or how many other orders they have. These are questions I'll be asking the salesman when I call about the MY2022 order transfer...
I wrapped just the hood of my mustang with a big fire dragon. The background of the hood image was black and the rest of the car was silver. Didn't match, but looked dope and cost under $200
