Nice, Iād also throw the sound of my 2017 GT350 (5.2L Voodoo V8) in with the awesome sounding V8ās, when nearing the 8K+ redline and āsnicking through the 6sp manual transā¦what an absolute magical experience. Loved that you could only get the 6-sp manual transš
My apologies OP, waaay off track...
Fantastic, thank you!! thatās exactly what I was hoping to see! Looks great, not too much poke at all. Great to see I can get the 315/70R17ās on my oem (takeoff) Wildtrack wheels with OBX flaresš. More tire optionsā¦.
They do, but after tons of research leaning towards Toyo Open Country A/T IIIs in the 35x11.5 17 size. Will be about 1ā skinnier than the 315/70R 17s so should help with poke and be about 6lbs/tire lighter. Itās those or back to the BFG K02s, in the 315/70 size (C). Had those on Raptor but...
Thanks OP for posting this. I have the exact same issue with my top on the clamshell. Only in a couple of small areas so far, but noticed it first day I brought it home. Firm believer in many times the cure is worse than the cause, (otherwise the top fits fine and is reasonably quiet), so...
Finally getting my Bronco sorted. 6112ās went on today And what a HUGE diff over the stock OBX Hitachi coilovers. Brake dive is pretty much gone instead, firmer/more solid ride (not harsh by any means), but much more confidence inspiring. Only driven 40mi. so far but will report back on new...
Just my 02, but I have a 2023 OBX with adv 4x4 (rear locker, 4.27 gears, etc) that I purchased this past July. Just had Bilstein 6112s installed today. When I ordered in March of 2023 SAS was still a constrained item, (per my dealer), so I passed on it. Iām now paying (more) to get my own SAS...
Youād think after all these years of āthrottle by wireā theyād have figured it out by now. Had a 2001 Lincoln LS with the 3.9L V8 (my 1st computer controlled auto) and it had the same issuesā¦low end, light throttle acceleration and it had a horrible hesitationā¦like the various computer modules...
Yeah, same here, my 2.7 (2023 OBX) has about 3500 miles on it and it has noisy start up and lumpy idle - particularly at cold start up. Quiets down once warm, but still sometimes feel the lumpy idle. Donāt recall my 2018 Raptor 3.5 being this noisy (in general) until the cam phasers went bad...
OK, (flame suit on š), what if I was to go with 305/70 vs 315/70? 305s are 1/2ā narrower, (reducing poke) & likely still fit the take-off Wildtrack wheelsā¦thoughts?
thxā¦
Thanks HD, that pic really helps, looks like Iāll see what the OBX flares cover then source SAS flares if necessary. Iām thinking up to 1.5ā poke would be okā¦
Thanks all for your insight! Jdoc92 looks like you have about what poke Iāll end up with, 35x12.5 A/Tās, SAS Wildtrack wheels and stock OBX flares. Assuming the OBX flares are close to the width of your non-SAS Badlands flares. Your poke is not too bad and I could live with that.
All, am having 6112s installed next week (adjusted for a a 2ā lift on a non-SAS 2023 OBX). I purchased take-off Wildtrack wheels from a member here and am looking to go with 315/70 17 A/T tires.
While I have read many of the posts here on āpokeā can anyone post a pic or tell me the difference...
looking good gents, I picked up a take-off capable bumper for my OBX and have been looking for a mini bull bar for lights and this looks very feasible. thx for sharing!
