I'm going with a custom sized sliding tray. The guy building it should have it ready within the next week or so. It's the 1st one built for a 2 door with deleted seats. I'll post pics once it's installed. I think the final dimensions ended up around 39"x46" so it will fill the entire rear area .
CrawlTek front and rear bumpers installed yesterday. Also had rock lights installed in the mirror housing as approach lights. Will post some pics later.
Going in next week to have the up fitter switches installed. That was the only option on my Base model when I ordered it and they weren't...
I live in Florida and it rains practically everyday in the summer (only when it doesn't for weeks) and I haven't experienced the wet road issues some folks have.
Just an FYI. I was averaging 22.6mpg on the 285/70/17 BFG and when I went to the 315/70/70 I'm now averaging 22.5. Figured it would drop more than that but I'll take it. Yes I adjusted the tire size in Forscan and the speedometer is dead on.
Installed 315/70/17 C Load KO2's last Friday. Balanced fine and ride smooth. In my experience when I've had balance issues it was due to aftermarket wheels. I'm running the Everglades OEM wheels.
$500.00 to do the swap and that included alignment. Not a difficult job but they do it all day everyday and have all the right tools. Took the tech about 3 hours.
New tires installed!!!
Not enough seat time to access the ride. Negligible difference in how the truck feels as far as acceleration and clutch function. Slightly noticeable. I'll track the MPG's over the next few days as it should decrease.
Removed the crash bars before the install don't...
I have 4 BFG 285/70/17 C rated tires for sale. The tires have 7,000 miles on them and 1 has a temporary plug in the center of the tread that should be patched prior to mounting. Picked up a screw sometime yesterday. $350.00
Pick up only in St Augustine
Yes I'm running the BFG 285/70/17 unit 2:45pm today when the BFG 315/70/17's will be installed. Shout out to my local Discount Tire. They price matched the insane deal at BB Wheels for the tires. They have always treated me right over the years so I always go to them 1st.
Just an FYI for those that may be contemplating the same. Swapped out the stock Hitachi coilovers from my 2023 base 2 door 2.3 with coilovers from a 2023 Badlands 4 door 2.7. Gained 2" in the front and 1 3/4" on the rear. Sitting dead level at 39" at all 4 corners. Rides great.
