I went a different way with mine. Used the rear anti-intrusion bar mounts to mount some flaps made from flexible vinyl flooring. Made the mounts from 3/16" steel and they serve as supplemental anti-intrusion bars as well as mounts for the flaps. No hard parts below the bottom of the rock...

@Karen82! and other's... There's a very simple way to deal with these dealers throwing on last minute markups. When they tell you they're adding it just smile and say sure, no problem. Go down to the dealer to sign your deal. Obviously you're going to want to test drive your new car before...

I like mine. Downside is it does collect water / ice. But not a huge deal to me.

No I am. 24 lug nuts + 5 locks = 5 lug nuts + a lock per drive wheel, 2 lug nuts + a lock for spare, and 2 extra lug nuts left over.

My BIL and his son sold their Broncos to the dealer they bought them from after owning them for 3 months for $10K over the OTD cost + upgrades they made. I'm a little bummed I don't have bronco buddies now, but it was easy money that I don't fault them for taking.

I did my first oil change at 5K miles. Pretty sure those impurities have kept it from blowing up. #forumlogic

If anyone else is DIY'ing I recommend using a nutsert in the boss under the flare. These are holding up well. I used 1/8" thick rubber flooring so no need to remove them for wheeling. Made the mounts out of 3/16" steel and used the intrusion bar mounts that are unused on our models...
