Just wanted to give everyone an update. Bad news: my Bronco is still in the shop. Somehow the engine was lost in shipping for almost a month. The dealer received the engine last Wednesday. I got a call from the service manager yesterday saying they pulled the old engine, haven't put new engine...

Thanks for the info! Good to hear you aren’t having any issues with the new engine, too! I talked to the dealer yesterday, they still haven’t received the new engine from Ford, they are hopeful that it should be in today or Monday. 🤞 I was told yesterday that it was cylinder 2.

I can confirm that my dropped valve issue isn’t from messing with GOAT modes. My Bronco has not and will not be used off-road (with exception of the dirt road we live on).

Service advisor told me they can get the engine within 2 business days.

Actually, after going through this Reddit thread CAN CONFIRM this is my Bronco. Lol! My husband hooked tow straps to his F-350 and towed my Bronco into the dealer, which is what this tech commented on Reddit. How funny!

I didn’t post on Reddit, but it’s very possible that the tech working on my Bronco did. Interesting though!

Thanks!! That experience sounds really similar to mine, except I didn’t have any check engine lights pop up and haven’t been to the dunes (yet…). I’m glad they were able to get their Bronco up and running pretty quickly though!

Thanks! It’s been fun so far. I’m glad that Ford jumped on it right away with no hassle to replace what needs replacing.

Ughh…well, we did buy an extended warranty when we purchased it. I was a little apprehensive about not having something long term just because it’s the first model year and I plan on keeping her forever. I’m wondering if I can negotiate either a free or cheaper warranty price after the fact?!

Update #2 (10/28/2021): So, good news all around. I got a phone call from my dealer saying that they somehow got the manifold in today (way sooner than expected) and I could potentially have my Bronco back by the weekend, if everything checks out. Awesome. And…I just got a phone call from Ford...

I checked yesterday morning and it did update to 07/16 at the bottom of the window sticker. I haven’t received a “built” email, checked for a Sync update on my Ford account and it said my Bronco was updated 07/17. I hope that the tow package isn’t holding her up….
