Metra 72-5600 is plug and play. The adapter is not the "correct" one but it fits very easily and secure.

Having just done this today, I wouldn't even say they fit (ish). They plain fit. Both dash speakers with the 72-5600 can be installed and done in 15min from you opening your box from crutchfield. Even a total dummy like me can do it, I'd damn near say this is a mandatory upgrade

Just a question. My 2.0 also has unfinished edges, guaranteed it splits like some of these examples. It's all under warranty... Why get up in arms about it? Ford is gonna have to do something about it; warranty exists for literally this exact scenario.
