50-state is California emmisions. Ford stopped making vehicles with two different smog standards. They are all California compliant now. The confusion is people are thinking 50-state is the old 49-state standard.

I don't remeber which thread I saw it in, but I believe they said they'd like you to get it within 2 weeks. Arrangements could be made for longer if you couldn't get there in that time.
The body is mostly completed on one line. The engine, drive train, suspension etc.. get installed on the frame in another line. Then the body is lowered onto the completed frame. The hood will not be involved or open. The interior and glass are usually last.
