  1. Help: I purchased a factory stolen Bronco Raptor and had no idea

Right, they didn't steal it, just bought it with a stolen identity. You'd just need a vin for a second BRaptor of the same color that was being delivered within a day or 2, then pull the scam. Do it in a Friday, drive to AK over the weekend, vin swap and register under the new vin same day...
  2. Help: I purchased a factory stolen Bronco Raptor and had no idea

I bet it wasn't stolen from the factory, it was stolen from the dealer in VA. They probably bought it (financed in house) with a phony stolen ID, then drove it straight to AK and did the vin swap, found a vin that was being delivered in the next few days (how they did that who know, probably...
  3. Help: I purchased a factory stolen Bronco Raptor and had no idea

I feel for you. The one and only positive in this whole situation is that you didn't get pulled over driving it after the stolen VIN did get fully reported. It woulda been a guns drawn, cuffed face down on the pavement, no fun situation. I hope the FBI can help. Hope they can run those...
  4. My portable "winch in a box" (better than nothing) creation

A few thoughts (from an engineer). The winch line along with the structure of the winch is likely going to have a safety factor of 3 or more. I think you're relatively safe on that end because the motor's force is going to be your limiting factor. I've personally pulled on something with a...
  5. How does the 4A work?

You have a WT, the stock SAS tires are 55 lbs. each (super light for a tire that's 34.4" diameter). Depending on what 37s you went with, there is likely a huge difference in rotating mass. My 37" Trail Grapplers weigh 89 lbs. each. You're gonna get some big changes in feel.
  6. Spare Tire Covers -- post yours

Wait, why are we covering the spare? It's a full size spare with a TMPS system that will auto-detect a change. You should be rotating the spare in at every tire rotation. No need to protect from UV exposure. Never mind, looks, people do it because they like the look of a leather trash bag...
  7. My name is Ed and I am addicted to upgrading & modifying …

Bro, you ain't even really got close to obsession territory yet. Wait until you get to the point of upgrading upgrades... I'm probably $12k in on my upgrade obsession (and that's doing all of the work myself, hate to see what I'd have in labor on top of that, probably closer to $20k total.)
  8. 2022 Badlands hood not secured properly?

Seems a bit fishy to me. The nut was definitely on and tightened, you can see where it scuffed the paint on the hinge. I will give the OP a little credit and say maybe they had to do some extra body work at the factory and had to take the hood off. If looks like the other nut has been put on...
  9. Enabling Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering

Why didn't they have this option enabled from the factory? Seems like they would want to enable every feature available... Beyond me. Following for sure.
  10. Jack Options

So I'm not sure if you've ever put your hands on a Badland Jack. My dad has a Pro Eagle so I've definitely used both, if it didn't say Bandland on the side of the jack I really think you'd have a hard time telling one company's product from the other. Both are very good quality. It would be...
  11. Jack Options

I bought a Badland Jack and absolutely love it. Yes you're getting better service with Pro Eagle but that's it. The Badland Jack is very good and half the price. If the Pro Eagle Jack was made in the USA, I would consider paying double, but since both are more than likely made in China, I'm...
  12. *Poll* Rock Slider Suggestions?

Ya, I didn't really mean to imply that the rails in the video caused those specific dents, more that the rails weren't doing their job if the damage happened with them on. I got sidetracked and I kinda ran the two points I was trying to make together so that's definitely my fault for the...
  13. *Poll* Rock Slider Suggestions?

You can actually see that something has been into the rocker in multiple places on that Bronco And if it's going from that much gap (above) to this much gap (below) it's hitting something on the body. The pinch weld, the rocker, somewhere it's making contact.
  14. *Poll* Rock Slider Suggestions?

This video actually makes me even more against the body mounted rails. Throughout the whole video you can see the rail is actually bending up making contact with the body. I don't like that at all. I've had some very hard slams coming off ledges and I really think I would have had some body...
  15. Guys... I found THE best Bronco deal of the year

Need that eye bleach for sure after seeing this....
  16. Guys... I found THE best Bronco deal of the year

THIS is who is to blame! Bronco Grumper | Fab Fours The product design engineer at Fab Fours needs kicked in the nuts multiple times, like repeatedly. Pretty much the ugliest vehicle esthetic ever. If "Bro-Dozer" had an official sponsor, it would be Fab Fours...
  17. *Poll* Rock Slider Suggestions?

So personally I could never fully trust a body mounted rock slider. I've hit my frame mounted sliders hard, and I mean hard, and I know I can trust them. RCI is 100% the way to go IMHO. 4 Door | Rock Sliders | 21-Present Bronco - RCI Off Road (rcimetalworks.com)
  18. Bronco-Inspired Custom Home-Built Teardrop Trailer and Her Maiden Voyage

My mind is blown, this is so freaking awesome! Your work is phenomenal, clean AF. Congrats on the coolest DIY project I've ever seen.
  19. Which vehicle to keep: Wildtrak vs. Jeep Grand Cherokee L

Such of waste of a thread... Gonna ask a Bronco enthusiast group if he should keep a Bronco or a Jeep that's more of a car and an off-road vehicle. Bro, you should know what our answer is.
  20. Leakage of what looks like crusty white dried salt water

THIS. If you have a front facing camera there is a windshield washer line that runs to it. There is a connection point above where you show the drip on your front bumper. Take this trim piece off (just plastic push-rivets) and the connection will be in the area circled in red. Probably just...
