Was just typing this reply! Max will generally cool down faster because it's cooling already-cooled cabin air. Many of the newer systems are also "smart", so they will recirculate for a very brief time before going full recirculate, as if you start the car on MAX, it may be warmer in the car...
Who needs all the light controls on a stalk? I have mine on "auto" and never touch the thing beyond that. Auto high beams cover most the rest, though high beams are still on the Ford stalk anyhow, so I guess that's equal.
Hey now, there are plenty of months without snow on the road in areas outside of Alberta, at least. ;)
This photo is just one of the reasons I laugh at people who think fully autonomous cars are just around the corner. It's really simple to program computers to deal with basic driving, but...
Those are both fantastic looking rides! Always loved the Bumblebee. I had a '93 GSPD, but I ended up selling it and getting myself a '13 GSA (last non-water cooled), but held onto my /7. The PD was a pretty awesome bike and still fairly simple to work on, but I was starting to outride the...
I was confused at first, but I think by "below the tail light", they mean "in the bumper, under the tail light" - the little round plastic thing you see on almost every car bumper these days (at least, vehicles with BLIS and/or parking sensors).
The only real problem with that is any relocation of the camera will cause issues with the overhead/surround view, since the computer is stitching together multiple camera feeds to provide those images, and it's programmed for a very specific camera location.
I'm one of those software-coding nerds and I work for a silicon valley based company. Clearly I'm not man enough to own a Bronco, especially if I like tech features / newer safety features.
Granted, I do my own vehicle maintenance and repair, am restoring a '51 Ford F-1 with a 390 and toploader...
As it is, I think the Advanced Driver Assist for the Mach-E and F150 are things you can pay for now, but it's not yet enabled (coming pretty soon, I think?), so it's very new tech and probably why it hasn't made it into the Bronco. Honestly, it's something I wish it included as an option, even...
Oh, I agree with spending a few bucks for prevention. It won't hurt. I just don't see worrying about it being as bad as some of the demos that aren't too old, because that would definitely be a problem within warranty. I guess the lucky ones of us will find out later this year. :D
Honestly, I wouldn't give it a second thought. Photos are pre-production units. If they are getting chipped from normal use, it's going to be covered by the bumper to bumper warranty. This is exactly why it takes time to move to production... have to work out the kinks and find the things that...
I'll take "things that never happened for $1000, Alex"...
There is no lane keeping system made that can't easily be overpowered by driver input to the steering wheel.
While that's probably true, it's worth noting that the upgraded systems in other Ford vehicles (they used to team with Sony before B&O) also include a separate amp, so it's not just the speakers and radio you're paying for. It's still pricey but I've always found the factory upgraded system more...
I received an email from Ford within about 30 minutes that was similar to the one above with a summary of the order, and the website now says in-store order vs reservation. The only place I've seen the priority number you mention is from the screenshot the dealer sent to me (did the order by...
This is interesting. While I live in Northern Virginia, I'm from Ohio and still deal with an Ohio dealer (I briefly entertained dealers in VA and quickly decided the one-way 7-hour drive was less painful and would get me a better deal). I reserved in the morning of 7/14 (probably around 8am)...
I've always felt like this is more of a supply issue. They can offer those things for the builds they think most people would want that accessory with, as opposed to holding up builds while they wait for paint protection film / headliners / roof racks.
