Imogene is one of the best Jeep trails in Colorado. I like most hopes it gets repaired and stays open. Any word on Black Bear as it was closed for like reasons?
I upgraded from a Base SAS to a Raptor and there is NOTHING that I miss about the old, cheap IP. The Wrangler speedo and tach look to be so much better in quality, if an retro look is what youāre after. Also, the analog speedo should have been a tach, full stop.
Just my opinion after living...
@Dquimby9 But a big upgrade everywhere else. The cost of properly fitting 37s was just too much for me. No dig on people who upgrade suspensions, but drive a Raptor and the āgotta have a 2 doorā fades into the rear view quickly, IMHO.
I have to say, I like the Fox live valve over the Multimatic spool valve ones I had in the Chevy, but itās close. IDK if I like the complexity of the Fox system in comparison. Prolly a wash!
Ride quality is excellent on road, havenāt had the chance to take it off road. I will be at the school within the next couple of months, Iāll update when I get a chance to beat Fords stuff.
35s are supposed to be an easy fit. At a big 33, IDK if Iāll increase the size, depends how many times...
Iām over sixty and finally at a point in my life where I am fortunate enough to have both. Ranger doesnāt even offer a sunroof, that and no ventalated seats are my only complaints. It should offer both, even at a price increase.
My wife wanted the ZR2 Bison as we started off road with one of the previous models. Leaf spring rear, lower HP played into the decision. Nothing has better stock underbody protection.
Iāll add that I donāt think there is a ābadā choice in new mid-sized pickups at the moment.
Iām gonna go to Raptor Assult (hate the freakinā name!) in June/July and then hopefully take it out to CO/UT and wring it out on a bunch of different stuff. I will use it for its intended purpose, itās just a long drive to anywhere good from Wisconsin. Hopefully moving west within the next...
