It's not out of site out of mind. They have to keep the lines moving. So the new units go to the line first. Extras go to the broncos waiting on ice mountain. It would be silly to put a computer in a bronco, take it to ice mountain, take the computer out, out it in a bronco out there and ship...
One other thing to note is that although we are waiting on a bronco, there are ford employees out of work. They could have just shut down completely instead of putting vehicles in storage but it's nice to see some of those folks got to keep bringing money in to feed their families. Sometimes...
I think this lays down to the cars built while there was no chips being stuck out on ice mountain. so when they get new chips they go to the vehicles on the line first, excess goes to the vehicles on ice mountain. i don't like it but I understand why they are doing it.
Something to think about.
So say your bronco might be ready but your dealer is also waiting on a few other vehicles. They won't just send your bronco. They have to wait until they are ready to send all the other vehicles to your dealer. Not defending ford by any means but it's more than just...
does anyone make a sleek bumper similar to the modular one from ford? i can't imagine something like that not being the most popular bumper available in the aftermarket. doesn't even have to be modular like the ford one per se. certainly not saying someone should copy the ford one but all these...
i think you guys have unrealistic expectations about how these things should look for the most part. if these are cast parts, they will come out with slight imperfections. to expect otherwise is a little foolish. I'll gladly trade you one of these for my soft top plus cash :)
you should probably be in the 1/17 group eh? would certainly give some of the folks over there some hope. mine had a 1/18 blend. glad to see some movement for something built the same week as mine.
One thing I do that isn't discussed on here much is I have a search at my dealer that I check weekly/daily to see what broncos show up. These get auto populated by ford when the broncos get shipped. This week they had a 2.3 bronco that was built on 1/27 show up and a 2.7 that was built on 12/15...
