  1. 33s and 373 gears

I think so, I think you're right, but I'm not familiar with the Jeep auto.
  2. 33s and 373 gears

I think 3.73 and 33" tires is marginal. I ran that set up for years and was disappointed with the crawl ratio (2.72 t-case). Lower (numerically higher) gearing would be preferable off road.
  3. Just me or has the Bronco hype hit a wall?

The Bronco has lost its shine for me, as a matter of fact I hate the Bronco now.
  4. Just me or has the Bronco hype hit a wall?

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
  5. Picked up a rooftop tent for my Big Bend at Costco!

    That's a great price! Congrats.
  6. Official EPA MPG Mileage for 2021 Bronco posted on fueleconomy.gov

My opinion is that Ford built a disposable engine with the eco boost and because most people dont keep vehicles for decades you wont be disappointed, because you'll have traded it in or sold it before it becomes too much money to maintain. Someone else will buy your problem and will replace the...
  7. Snow Tires - Wildtrak

I like the BFG All-Terrain KO2. Look for the mountain/snowflake designation. Just look for the stock size for your vehicle. Tire Rack is a good resource, but there are others, Discount Tire for example. 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Rating (exceeding the Rubber Manufacturer Association's...

As of Feb 2021, https://fordauthority.com/2021/02/feds-end-investigation-into-ford-emissions-fuel-economy-testing/ Looks like the Department of Justice dropped the criminal investigation, but there are still multiple class-action lawsuits (since combined), and the EPA and Canada are still...
  9. Mushy brakes?

I've been driving my Ford truck more lately. When I switch to the g/f 4Runner, I keep over-braking. If you think Tacoma/4Runner brakes suck, they don't...compared to Ford.
  10. Decisions to Make.... wait or buy alternative?

If nothing else, you should be seeing auto reviews online and in print prior to September. You'll know then how it compares in real-world driving. So, that's good :) The 4Runner and Wrangler are both known quantities, and both have very reliable drivetrains. The 4.0L and the 3.6L are both...
  11. Official EPA MPG Mileage for 2021 Bronco posted on fueleconomy.gov

Yep. Ford could have given us the same economy at less complexity and expense. It may have been at the expense of max power, but that just shows they are trying to win a marketing race, hype, not produce the best vehicle for the customer. They want to win short term customers, and higher profits.
  12. Brake size upgraded with Sasquatch?

Yeah, that's too small for 33" or 35" tires. I bet they upgrade them next year. I read the Wrangler is 12.9" front/rear, and the Sahara and Rubicon get heavier duty than the standard 12.9" so I'm sure Ford will follow suit.
  13. Upgrading Bronco fuel tank capacity

It has very little practical use, just like gas cans on the back but, for that one time.... I carried an empty Jerry can for years on my Jeep, and empty Rotopax on the motorcycle. Almost no one will ever need it. The Titan comes with a siphon to get it into the tank.
  14. Upgrading Bronco fuel tank capacity

That's nice too because you just leave it empty and out of the way 99% of the time.
  15. Upgrading Bronco fuel tank capacity

Because you were wrong, with attitude. Why not just be an adult about it.
  16. Upgrading Bronco fuel tank capacity

They do it for diesel. Not for gas. "Gas" tanks are part of the emissions/EVAP system. Call Titan and ask  then be an adult and apologize publicly.
  17. Upgrading Bronco fuel tank capacity

The answer is no. There will be auxiliary tanks, separet to the fuel system (think gas cans, Rotopax, plastic tire insert deals) but not bigger aftermarket replacement fuel tanks. Gas and diesel fuel systems are certified completely different and making a different "gas" tank is too much of a...

But not.in EPA mpg mileage which is what this thread is about. The point is a 2.3 or 2.7 should be getting better MILEAGE than 15 - 20 year old tech.
  19. Hard Top Not Able To Be Added As An Accessory

When I worked closely with body shops, it wasn't uncommon for there to be no parts available due to limited production, or it was a "hot" vehicle and they didn't have "extras" for collision repair. Wait times could be months and months.
  20. Hard Top Not Able To Be Added As An Accessory

At least. They won't produce "aftermarket" or replacments until they fill the orders going down the assembly line, which they won't do for a looonnnggg time.
