My thought exactly, if no codes I'm not leaving my car at the dealership for a month while they tear it apart. Hoping it's enough to create a paper trail so if something catastrophic happens down the road as a result Ford will do the right thing and fix it.
Want to keep this thread alive and see if anyone has been able to have this issue addressed. After not having this happen for a while it seems to be occurring more frequently and different scenarios. As many others have mentioned this usually happens shortly after starting the car and at low...
I can't speak to the wind noise with the light bar cutout but the regular deflector adds no additional wind noise. I have a two door and when I remove the front panels I think it's actually an improvement over no roof rack at all.
Received my roof rack yesterday and wasted no time setting it up. So far really impressed with TrailRax as a company and their product, it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into this system. Still working on the best way to mount the rotopax but here are a few quick photos I took this morning.
Interesting, so we have a crankcase vent and a separate crankcase vent with an oil separator. You would think the one labeled oil separator is where you would want the catch can, this is how mishimoto has it setup. I guess that’s good enough for me.
Agreed, I installed it as mishimoto calls for in their instructions. Just trying to confirm if this is sufficient or have we missed another line that would also require a catch can.
I was wondering about this also. My only other experience with a catch can was on my B58 BMW engine where it vented from the valve cover back into the intake. Of course not every engine is the same but I keep looking at this line and it seems to be doing exactly what I described on my B58. I...
Finally got my catch can and installed last night. Was more of a pain in the ass than expected, especially the clips holding in the wheel liner. Tried to install without removing the wheel, don't bother it isn't worth it! I have 3,500 miles on the bronco and did have some oily residue come out...
I have experienced this 2-3 times now also, at around 4,000 miles now. Because it happens at low rpms I was wondering if it has something to do with the anti-stall over reacting? In general I have found myself having to adjust the way I typically drive a manual because this system kicks in a...
