Not sure the protocol. I'm guessing I get to keep the vehicle whether working or not until I accept/decline any of the buyback options. This isn't being done through an attorney at this point. Technically, this Bronco meets the qualification of being a lemon because it's been out of service for...
I was a indirect lending officer for 10 years (lender to only dealershipsā¦auto/rv). Iād bet that theyāre using the Bronco Sportās value. Most lending institutions derive their collateral values with either NADA or KBB values or if itās a new vehicle, the MSRP/invoice sheet from the dealer.
Tell...
I tried getting some info from Ford Rep today. She knows nothing. Like Jon Snow. My service advisor will be calling me either tomorrow or Saturday, so I'll try to wrangle more information from him. That'd be some crap if they swap the old engine for a new engine that could be from a bad batch...
Same shoes as you. Mine dropped a valve at 2400 miles. I got ahold of Ford to start the buyback process, *only because my vehicle has been sitting at the dealership inoperable since 09/10/2021.* Look into your stateās lemon law. Iām in Michigan and one of the clauses states vehicle is a lemon...
Are you interested in buying a 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands, 2.7 L, High Package, Area 51, Soft Top? Original engine had 2494 miles on it, new engine will have 0. Will be for sale maybe in month or two, or maybe three or four? Who knows, whenever dealership can get parts from Ford. $75,000 firm...
It it already qualifies as a ālemonāā¦as itās been out of service for over 30 days. Thatās what Iām saying, I want Ford to swap for a new Bronco.
My options are: refund (where Ford repurchases vehicle and now vehicle has a branded title), replace with a new Bronco, replace with another Ford model...
Yep, this is how I feel, thanks for putting it into words! When I called Ford to start the RAV process I said I want a new Bronco, not a refund, or a ālike msrpā vehicle.
I am truly glad that some people will overlook such an issue, but the response I've had from everyone I ask is pretty 50/50. And you're absolutely right, I don't want to let go of it after a waiting a year (actually in my mind I've been waiting since the 2015 Bronco concept was revealed š).
I've received absolutely no information from Ford, or my dealer regarding why this happened or what the cause was. My dealer told me initially that they were not to tear down the engine (per Ford) due to "low time in service," just ship the engine back to Ford for analysis.
I'm not even sure...
Butā¦she is a āherā ācause Iām a āher.ā š
The Ford customer service rep I talked to on Monday was creating a new case with RAV specialist (they either buyback the Bronco or replace with ālikeā model). She wouldnāt guarantee me a new Bronco, but I tired. Lol
I haven't contacted Mike Levine...yet. That will be next on my list.
I ran into a salesperson from my local dealership just last night. I told him that I had bought a Bronco a few months ago (end of July). Then I told him it's still at his dealership in the service bay. Some dark humor on my...
