ha! No sorcery, just a bit of time with the welder.
here’s what it looks like with out the tire and tracks. I used a rough country reinforcement plate and built the mount off of that.
My plan is to make a removable mount that puts the motor over the tire and the bar along the back side of the maxtrax. That way I can bolt it on when I need to bring the saw but have it free and clear the rest of the time.
I loved the ride and stance of my Eibach spring kit for my 2013 raptor but it ate through CV boots at the higher angle. hesitant to try that on the bronco.
nothing major, with 2 sets of tracks I can open the door all the way and the just touch the tail light.
with 4 I can open to about 100degrees before contacting the tail light.
Have to be cautious not to accidentally close the gate before the glass though.
Those appear to be nitto ridge grapplers in a 35x12.5R17. I have a set on my raptor. they are OK except in rain and snow. Once the roads are wet goodbye traction.
Ya photo reflection there adding the extra flare :)
Love the switch pros but I typically run a whelen siren controller when I run out of switches. The BD S1 is less light than this rigid. I have a mix of BD and Rigid lights on my 4 rigs and have found I have preferences for different...
I just went with a rigid amber spot mounted off my rear carrier for a chase light.
i may swap it with a dual intensity light for or a Baja designs S1 as the current is on the bright side for anything but wide open dessert
I have had good luck with goodyear duratracs with studs. they are available in a 315/70/17 are severe snow rated also. have a set for my bronco to install on nov 1 and have been running them for 4 years on my raptor.
they are not as good as the Nokkians in snow/ice but a a tougher tire for...
looks like a great set up, I love their plates and protection.
the sliders look a bit unfinished to me and a good place to trap dirt. but otherwise great products and quality from the looks of it.
As others have said, protecting the venerable transmission pan was a big priority for me. went with Barnes 4WD shock skids and ARB plates on my Badlands.
