Sounds fishy, I would say parts are readily available especially with production being stopped there’s more than likely a storage of parts like these that Ford can pull off the shelf: I could be wrong though last week I got a rear soft top window within a day… (if it was electrical I would say...
not sure when that was but I ordered the entire rear window and my dealer said it was in stock and would be delivered within 2 days (which it was)
parts are usually more readily available/in stock than the whole car
Does anyone know this part number and could help me out? The rear of the softtop can lift with the push of two fingers because both these plastic clips that hold down the entire back broke.
@Ford Motor Company maybe a new revision with the soft top could be making these with metal or stronger...
the new range rovers are great, have had three different ones and all have over 100k+ miles and they’re still chugging and never had an issue with them besides usually maintenance. However the earlier versions(before 2014) weren’t that amazing and had issues
Clips in the rear of the soft top which clips it to the corner of the back on the interior broke on both sides. Can’t find part number and I went to the dealer which showed me something but I did not believe it was the right part, especially once he told me it was $260 for one side and over $300...

Ford dealer told me early this week that come April 29th several more models will be closed for 2022 due to unprecedented customer demand and supply constraints.
Needless to say, backed up into something and broke both the rear struts for the soft top. Rear right plastic strut to hold up the soft top completely broke in half; and cracked the left rear half way across. Tried googling and couldn't find anything but a new soft top from Ford for 2.3k. Was...
My fear is that, if this was a small subset of engines built during a period (mid summer) and they know it’s something with the valves & the issue has been fixed/found that they would’ve said something by now. ANYTHING
But the fact that they been completely silent and haven’t said a thing to...
Sorry not attacking you, but you're just the 100th person that has made a similar comment.
Its enough for a message/safety bulletin from Ford,(the fact they haven't is ridiculous) and possibly a recall. via...
I did alert two journalist, CNBC & WSJ that both cover Ford, Automobiles, etc. One got back and said thanks for the tip & he'll look into it, other one didn't get back to me.
