There is an extensive thread on this site on flat towing with more information than you can imagine. I've towed my 2.3L MT Black Diamond for about 11,000 miles now with no problems. 73Corvetteman is correct about the issues with trailer weight and parking. Getting the Bronco hooked up and...
According to the folks at the Texas Off-Roadeo there really aren't defined or recommended 'limits' on pitch and roll because it varies so much by tire size, lift, load, load location, even tire pressure, etc., all of which affect the center of gravity which determines the pitch and roll 'limits'.
I put it in sport mode after seeing a video of the Ford Performance tune for the 2.3L. However, Sport Mode engages 4H, is that normal? I don't run 4 anything on dry pavement. Do you select Sport Mode then put it back in 2H or run it in 4H on dry pavement?
Thanks. Mine is a '22 with the 8 inch display. The dealer fixed the start up screen with a software load/update but the compass is still stuck. I have another appointment for service and I'll give them your 'fix' to see if that helps.
Just got my Bronco back from the dealer for 20,000 mile general service and wiper software update. I had complained about the loss of the rolling rock/bronco animation and analog compass on the center screen. They said it was a software issue and reloaded/updated (not sure which) and now I...
Stupid question: how are you getting notifications of these updates? I look on Fordpass and get no messages. My Bronco is set for automatic updates but I don't know where/how to check to see what updates (if any) have been applied.
From a similar thread a while back they provided a pretty good match for the Ford Modular bumper, etc. It is a Rustoleum 'Rugged Black' Custom Lacquer in a rattle can. I had to order it on Amazon, couldn't find it at Lowes:) I used it to touch up my skid plate after some creative grinding and...
Any of the upfitter switches will handle the current for the two lights. For the 'Pro' lights, each light is 2.7 amps and the backlight is 0.03 amps. The lowest current upfitter switch is 10 amps. I have the 'sport' version of the Diode Dynamics SS3 ditch lights which is less than half the...
I have the rolling rocks but not the 'horsey' start up when I open the door. I also lost a functioning compass on the 8" display home screen. It is stuck in the 'north' position. Now my 'navigator' (of 46 years) can't see which direction we're going to tell me I'm going in the wrong direction:)
I get a start up animation but it isn't the horsey one, ends with a picture of a canyon. I thought it was my imagination that the compass on the 8" home screen worked and now it is stuck in North position. At least I'm not going crazy (or I'm in good company):)
For what it is worth....I submitted an e-mail question and called LOD asking specifically if the brackets worked with the Modular Bumper and was assured they would. I ended up heavily modifying them including making a drill template, bending the loops outboard 60 degrees, making nut plates for...
On my 4D, 2022 BD, 2.3 l, MT, Stock tires, ~11,000 miles I've never reset the 'B' trip meter and it shows 21.9 MPG average for the entire 11,000 miles. I reset the 'A' trip meter and mileage monitor at fill up and I typically get that (+/- obviously) on my normal driving. I don't drive it hard...
Interesting. There was no way that I could reinstall the bumper with the LOD loops where they were. I have the Ford Brush guard and the LOD loops hit the bottom back bracket on the bumper (the bracket that the silver bolt heads are holding on in the picture above) which caused the bumper to...
If you have the ability to bend the LOD brackets, (press brake required) you can bend the 'hook section' outward 60 degrees parallel to the bottom edge 2" up from the bottom edge and it will clear the modular bumper, not sure about the capable bumper. I then used a 1/2" quick link: Curt...
You certainly won't get the mileage of the Civic, my BD with the 4cyl and 7 speed has given an average of ~21MPG over the 11,000 miles I've driven it (note, I have used premium fuel for about half the miles). I think the seats are great and the ride is probably as good as your civic (I think...
