The popularity of this thread (and other similar ones) seems to speak volumes about most of our dealership experiences... and how far some straight-forward transparency and honesty from a dealer can go. Thanks @Granger Ford !
On Ford's "Online Reservation FAQ" they say:
Will reservations be fulfilled in the order placed?
Reservations will be fulfilled in approximately the same order received, based on final ordering and production of similarly configured Broncos. All reservations will be completed before production...
I just changed my reservation to Granger!
The Ford rep I spoke with during the change process said he "knew that dealer well" and that there were lots of people switching to Granger.
Now with the piece of mind that I can actually trust my dealer, I can relax, enjoy and just get ready for B&P...
Roger that - I agree with you. Hopefully B&P will come out and that will inspire some dealer in CO to do something creative before mid-/late-Oct., but in the (more and more likely) event no dealer around here steps up, I'll more than likely be calling Ford up and adding one more reservation to...
Supporting a local business and not having to hassle with travel is worth something to me... but it's not everything. Local dealers need to get their act together pretty quick to keep my money in CO. Granger is looking more and more attractive every day...
I've found that most dealers in CO don't want to talk details to any great degree until pricing is available. I've stopped bothering asking them questions until we get B&P.
