Hey man, that did actually happen to me once because I did the same thing and said forget the retention hook. Figured out it goes sideways and hooks onto the side rail instead of the cross rail
Awesome man, did you use a touchless car wash or regular one? And was it a basic wash or one with upgrades like ceramic, tire shine, etc? Iāve been scared to take mine through yet
No drilling required, there are a few holes in the top of the roll bar (not sure why) but the top comes with rivnuts that fit into those holes, as well as all new hardware
That should fix the issue. I donāt have any whistling on mine. Also the instructions mentioned something about adjusting the pieces that the top hooks into up front. If it still whistles after the button, Iād look into that
Another thing that may have been mentioned already, I didnāt read through this whole thread, and Iām not sure if ford fixed this issue. But the factory floor molds around the under seat vents which leaves a hole for water and moisture to get between the body and the floor

Iāll also add, the lip over the front windows sticks out a little bit further than the hard top so no more water dripping on the door sills when opening doors
