Oh, the limit is on illuminated lights - 4 total.
So one could have headlights (2) and fog lights (2), but not driving lights (2) on at the same time…
Unless it looks like the fog/driving is the same “light”.
I’m not sure which level I go, but it’ll probably be that setup with the white lights next to each other to appear compliant with the maximum number of “lights” under state law.
You should double check the regs.
I highly doubt that you can legally use a light that has not be approved for on-road usage - but the regulation in question is likely to be of a more overarching nature.
I thought about being “selective” but the amount of cars that I come across around here is enough to where I’d just feel like a commercial airline pilot flipping switches.
Plus, have you ever seen a speed trap on a dirt road? That was a first for me, and thankfully I was taking it easy that...
Really appreciate the added color regarding the reactions people have.
I don’t feel like getting pulled over by an over-zealous county mountie, ticking off people in my general are, or making people believe that I have suddenly opened the Ark of the Covenant.
@4x4TruckLEDs.com and others, feel free to respond.
I’m looking for extra light for dark country roads where deer, foxes, coyotes, and other furry creatures might be an issue.
My parameters:
- SAE approved and street legal
- good cutoff so as to avoid blinding other drivers
- I’d like driving...
The most insane vehicle I had from an acceleration standpoint was a stock WRX.
Faster than my Mustang GT off the line, pulled harder, and when it came time for the turn, took them faster as well.
Shame Subaru let the car wither on the vine.
Only solution is to sell it.
Also, up your air pressure in your tires if you aren’t running what the sticker says
Everyone here seems to think you need to drop pressure because of a few bumps, but running pressure below stock makes the front end feel like mush when you turn.
But let’s be...
I named my Bronco “Ferdinand Zvonimir Maria Balthus Keith Michael Otto Antal Bahnam Leonhard von Habsburg-Lothringen” but I haven’t been able to save up enough money for the sticker yet.
