You can also get aftermarket tires that are equivalent to the taller/wider tires on some of the other models mounted on your factory 18ās. This is what I did. My wife likes the factory rims, personally I didnāt so we compromised and just went with 275/70/18 General Grabber ATs. You can utilize...
Is there a way to modify the brackets on the factory steps to raise them a bit? I know on my F-250 you could swap F-150 brackets on and it raised the steps perfect as they had less drop.
I know right, I reached out to Ford, someone on the design team that I knew and tried to tell them the military bases are dominated by Jeeps. Would be nice as a Ford guy to have an answer to that, got me no favors and no end in sight for my order. Eventually found one back in my hometown...
Thats what popped up first I noticed out here. Almost overnight all the dealers had Badlands models on the lot. Thats one I stopped, drove, and got the "nothing under 8k over MSRP is even going to be taken serious." Some more have started to show up, and while a few have left the lots there's...
Tried buying a couple of the lots out here on Oahu. Even told them Iād pay the difference in what itās cost me to ship from the mainland. Last and best I got was absolute minimum was 8k over MSRP. I walked and bought on the mainland. Told the guy that the days of his giant markups are coming to...
I did, had them match the rears. Itās a pet peeve of mine when the windows are different shades. Total for mine was $107.53. Iām sure you can find a little cheaper but it also has a lifetime replacement warranty if it ever messes up.
Finally found one not over MSRP. Got a brand new 2022 that was very close to our original build. New tires, 275/70/18 General Grabber AT's and tinted the fronts. Got a few other things ready to go but am currently stationed away from the vehicle.
This is the same thing I was able to find in the Super Duty forum. You use a jumper that bypasses the signal to shut off at a certain speed. Iād imagine it could be done but someone would have to check the harness for sure.
I think the ride is actually a little better, possibly due to the increased sidewall height, but am no expert and just my opinion. They do seem to grab more rocks, but to be expected with the tread pattern over what was on it. I did change the spare and will be doing 5 tire rotations when the...
I do like the look of them blacked out and may look into it eventually, budget pending. I wanted to keep the tires inside the fender, or align them just to the flares to keep rocks and dirt off the sides of the vehicle as much as possible. Thats why the size was right for me, over an inch taller...
In my opinion there's very little more noise, but I also think that I was "looking" for it also after having them swapped. My wife doesnt even notice it, and is very happy with the ride still since its her daily.
I put 275/70/18 on my stock OBX wheels and love the look. @Discount Tire was able to get me a set of General Grabbers A/T. Aggressive tread pattern, snow rated, and an important factor to me was load rating to keep some driveability over an "E" load rating tire. Very happy with them so far.
this is true except for four door cars, where kids get out unfortunatley. The door cutout on the rears perfectly matches the steps/sliders on most trucks and SUV's allowing them to hit. Ask me and my truck how I know.
You cant touch anything on the lot for a Bronco here in Hawaii for less than 8k over MSRP. Yes I know its Hawaii, but also, it's Hawaii so very limited market. I offered what it would cost me to ship from the states over and they wouldnt go for it. Cant wait to get back to the mainland.
