Have dealer sign an affidavit stating that the vehicle is SAFE to flat tow. when you do tow it and if the transmission is destroyed you will have something in writing.

those of us who have paid FORD for destroyed transmissions should get refunds for repairs from faulty engineering. don't hold your breath. i have not found ford to be customer oriented at all.

happened to a bunch of us. Same story, ruined transmission, vacation, built ford tough means tough to warrant. VERY UNHAPPY WITH FORD. they need a class action filed. perhaps when it get to the hundreds of cases something positive will happen.

mine was until it wasn't. $6,300.00 transmission destroyed and no warranty with less than 6k miles. You are gambling big if you flat tow. I am [and many others] are living proof.

If you really want disappointment flat, tow it for a little bit so it destroys the transmission and have the dealer tell you it’s your fault.

Definitely not worth it. The factory warranty isn’t any good after I blew out my transmission by merely flat towing it behind my RV and Ford said it was my $6300 problem if they cannot guarantee Factory work how in the hell are they going to guarantee extending that?

we sold wrangler to buy ford bronco, big mistake. Bronco's continue to fail flat tow by seasoned drivers. Great ideas, BAD engineering and awful customer satisfaction. My trans fix cost me $6,287.00 plus 3k for a car hauler. ford SUX!

Here is the final bill of $6,287.14 We are in the process of suing ford now. I have little hope of them making this right. Boo/Hiss on ford.

my advise if still under warranty.... hire a lemon law attorney, you will file suit under the Magnuson-moss act of legislation regarding the "lemon" ford sold you.

my dealer said it would not prove anything. They go by the messaging from the computer.

I posted the exact issue with my 2022 badlands a few months ago. Ford told me it my $7,000 problem. I had towed 16-20 times without incident then all the sudden i became stupid and ruined the transmission by not following flat tow protocols. Go figure. no issue.... i have sold alot of "used" stuff though the years and it seems that market just doent value things the way I think they should.
